Phaedra Parks: Why Did I Get Married? [STATEMENT]

Super Entertainment Attorney Phaedra Parks has been a blog hot topic every since I revealed that she may be the newest housewife on next season’s The Real Housewives of Atlanta. I’ve seen the mugshot and NOPE… I ain’t posting it.

It’s not even about my “free legal services” as one commenter stated. It’s just that Phaedra’s husband’s past isn’t a secret. Not to me. She never tried to keep it hidden and she knew exactly who she was marrying. Phaedra’s a smart, successful, educated Black woman but leave it to US bloggers to create “controversy” where there isn’t any.

Now, before you start going in on me, I already know I’m guilty too. I even told Ms. P that I woulda been the first person to post Apollo’s pic in my Mugshot Mania collection…IF I didn’t already know the deal. But since I do… my conscious won’t allow me to go there just for blog hits.

Phaedra reached out with a response to all the drama after several blogs went in on her hubby’s past.

Evander Holyfield is off the hook for allegedly beating his wife and then jetting away for NBA All-Star Weekend. Fantasia Gets “Excused Absence” From Color Purple

Fantasia Barrino just got clearance to return to work after she canceled several Color Purple performances over the weekend. The show opened at the Pantages Theatre in Hollywood last Wednesday, but Fantasia was only able to perform? two nights before she called in sick.

Now you already know that Oprah is somewhere cussin Tasia out over this recent incident. During her last Oprah interview (Click here to watch), Fantasia admitted that she was having personal issues which prevented her from completing broadway obligations back in 2008. She received a ton of flack from critics and fans who felt let down after paying to watch her as Ms. Celie. Now here we go again…

According to her manager, Brian Dickens, Fantasia’s doctor ordered her to “sit out” the weekend to heal her inflamed vocal cords. She spent Monday being evaluated by her physician and vocal coaches and “received clearance to return to work Tuesday.”

Fantasia hasn’t addressed the situation being that “she’s been ordered to remain on vocal rest until she goes back to her vocal coach tomorrow at 2.”? Let’s just hope she steers clear of Ms. O…

Flix ~ Monica’s All-Star Experience + “Still Standing” Eyes 2nd Season

Monica tweeted several photos of her courtside experience during the 2010 NBA All-Star Game. Pictured above with rapper Chamillionaire, the sexy songstress is also said to be readying herself for a 2nd season of her BET reality show, “Still Standing”.

“I’ve gone through so many different things that my testimony should be shared,” said Monica in a recent interview. “Even if you can’t relate all the way, maybe some things that I’ve experienced will make the load feel lighter for the next person.”
