Merion Joseph Powers, an Atlanta producer, was originally seeking $1 million in a lawsuit stemming from the incident, filed in Fulton County Superior Court in March.
In the suit, Powers claimed Katt owed him $28,600 for time spent in his recording studio. He also claimed Williams brought his dog with him to the studio for a meeting in October 2009.
During that encounter, Williams “gave his dog a verbal attack signal,” and the comic’s dog attacked Powers’ dog, which suffered “substantial and nearly life-threatening” injuries, the civil complaint alleged.
Powers had his day in court and a judge ruled in his favor, ordering Katt to pay a whopping $577,929 judgment. Ouch! That’s gotta hurt…
