After hearing news of her ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta‘ demotion yesterday, Porsha Williams called in sick to her Dish Nation radio gig (October 1, 2014).

Williams had previously shared a photo of herself in an oxygen mask, but it wasn’t because of a ?mystery illness? or ?health scare? as some media outlets were reporting. It seems Williams merely wasn’t feeling too well after hearing that her RHOA peach had been snatched right from under her nose!

The ex-‘housewife’ is apparently feeling better and is back to work, and she shared her disappointment about her demotion with her radio employer, stating:

After a long season of filming, and giving my all, I was blindsided by the announcement from the network that I was demoted from ?Housewife Status,? but would remain on the show in a ?Friend? capacity.

?Unfortunately, I can only be PORSHA, and portraying anything else, would not be genuine nor honest. This moment is bittersweet, but God has been so amazing to me, and I think this is a perfect time for me to spread my wings, and finally focus on all of my upcoming projects.

As you know, Williams joined Dish Nation in June, teaming up with The Rickey Smiley Morning Show out of Atlanta and she looks forward to focusing more of her energy on the radio program.
