This week’s episode is titled, ‘Nice to Metria’ as new ‘friend of the show,’ actress Demetria Mckinney, is finally introduced to the cast by Cynthia Bailey.? Demetria’s introduction seems to bring out the worse in Kenya Moore, as she discovers the newbie’s high-profile relationship status.

Kandi is still dealing with Mama Joyce’s manipulative antics and we watch Phaedra Parks deal with her marital issues in an uncomfortable confrontation with Apollo Nida in a crowded nightclub.

#InstaPurge! Instagram Snatches Millions of Followers! Check Out Who Got Hit The Hardest…

Instagram left it’s mark on many an account yesterday after a clean up of spam accounts caused a decrease in followers.

The social media site warned users that their numbers might be changing but the warning fell on deaf ears until users saw the decline with their own eyes.

I’m not one to obsess over follower count, but there are many out there who keep tabs and being that the internet is like a form of high school, the popularity contest left many with hurt feelings when the awoke to less than stellar numbers.

A crackdown on spam Instagram accounts has triggered a cataclysm in the world of low-grade social media celebrities. The event, which began today after the photo-sharing service made good on its promise to start deleting millions of fake accounts, has been dubbed the “Instagram Rapture” after the follower counts of apparently popular Instagrammers were savaged.

Rapper Tyga saw his followers drop from 5.5 million to 2.2 million, and Ma$e felt so distraught after freefalling from 1.6 million followers to around 100,000, that he deleted his entire account!

#SororitySisters Backlash Continues! NPHC Issues Statement Against ‘Sorority Sisters’ + VH1 Stands By The Show…

The National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) is a collaborative organization of nine historically African American, international Greek lettered fraternities and sororities.

Often referred to as ‘The Divine 9,’ the NPHC consists of Kappa Alpha Psi, Omega Psi Phi, Alpha Kappa Alpha, Delta Sigma Theta, and Zeta Phi Beta, Alpha Phi Alpha, Phi Beta Sigma, Sigma Gamma Rho, and Iota Phi Theta.

NPHC issued an official statement denouncing VH1’s latest reality show, Sorority Sisters.

As leaders of the four historically African-American sororities, we are united in our belief that Sorority Sisters, which aired Monday, December 15, 2014 on VH1, poses a shameful affront to our proud legacies of service, scholarship and sisterhood.

Unemployment looks great on Ex-Atlanta ‘housewife’ Sheree Whitfield, who was all smiles as she spotted at the grand opening of Atlanta’s Christian Louboutin store.

A new “Rodeo Drive? style area of Atlanta has arrived in Buckhead and several high-end Stores have been opening recently.

The former ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta‘ cast member has been flying under the radar since being laid off from the popular reality show, but when Christian Louboutin held their grand opening December 15th, Whitfield was front and center when the doors opened.

Whasserface aka K. Michelle recently did an interview with a Baltimore radio station where she was asked to share her thoughts on VH1’s controversial new series, Sorority Sisters.

K. Whasserface, who happens to be a member of Delta Sigma Theta… and also happens to have contributed to one of the most ratchet reality series ever aired, fixed her lips to call the show “inappropriate”.

I’m real… it’s not appropriate. Like.. I love Mona. I love Vh1 to death, they are all my family but I’m not a fake person in my beliefs.

That should have never been touched. Some things are sacred for us. Everything doesn’t need to be exposed when it comes to that.

To Whasserface’s credit, she goes on to explain herself but the overall consensus is that she’s not the right person to deliver this message.

In The Tweets: Black Greeks Voice Outrage Over #SororitySisters Reality Show!

VH1?s latest reality show controversy stems from the fact that they had the audacity to create a reality show based around women who belong to African-American sororities.

‘Sorority Sisters’ features 9 women who are members of four different Greek-letter organizations, living and socializing in Atlanta.

The series just started and many already feel that it’s missed the mark.? What could have been an uplifting storyline about Black professional college grads working together, participating in community service and showing how ‘sisterhood’ actually works, is instead a basic everyday reality show showing Black woman (and one token White female) engaged in ratchet behavior.

Shocked?? I don’t know why you would be.? It’s been proven time and time again that positivity doesn’t work in the long run. What pays the bills is entertainment and that’s exactly what ‘Sorority Sisters’ seems to be aiming for.

There was little to no sisterly love displayed in the premiere episode and Greeks and non-Greeks alike reacted on social media, slamming the show for perpetuating negative stereotypes and alternatively lifting #SororitySister to the top of the trending charts.
