Janet Jackson hit the Billboard Music Awards stage last night for her first television performance in nine years.
The 52-year-old superstar performed a medly of hits including ?Nasty? and ?Throb?.
Jackson also made history as the first Black woman to ever receive the Billboard Icon Award.

During her acceptance speech for Billboard’s Icon award, Janet spoke out against sexism, abuse and racism as she made her stance on the #MeToo movement clear.
?My prayer is that, weary of such noise, we turn back to the source of all calmness. That source is God? Everything we lack, God has in abundance.?
?For all our challenges, we live at a glorious moment in history,? she said.
?Women have made it clear that we will no longer be controlled, manipulated, or abused. I stand with those women, and with men who support us, against discrimination.?
