Another day, another Kanye West rant goes viral.
This time, it’s Kanye’s views on Donald Trump that has set social media ablaze.
Last night the superstar rapper shocked fans and supporters during his Saint Pablo tour in San Jose, when he decided to share a moment of honesty about his voting choice, declaring: “If I would have voted… I would have voted on Trump”.

Kanye gave an almost 40 minutes political speech last night during his ‘Saint Pablo’ concert in San Jose that came at the expense of several songs, stating:
This is my platform and I’m going to talk about the paradigm shift that’s happening right now…
I assume that Kanye is excited about Trump’s win because it’s a clear indication that he has a shot at the presidency. Hell, if Trump can do it… so Kanye, right? But I digress…
The outspoken rapper, who was once praised for for speaking out against George Bush is now asking people of color to ‘stop focusing on racism’… declaring sombrely: “We are in a racist country – period.”

In the end, West praised music for its power to of unify the country after such a polarizing election, saying, “I’m not asking ya’ll on your opinions on who’s better, but there are people who voted for either side that come together for music.”
Kanye’s political stance is clearly a stark contrast to ‘College Dropout’ Kanye, who famously declared back in ’05 that “George Bush doesn’t care about black people” in the wake of the devestating Hurricane Katrina.

The concert received mixed responses but of course ‘Black Twitter’ has made Kanye today’s trending topic as they call him out about his hypocrisy.
Kanye hasn’t tweeted a response yet, he apparently got rid of his phone so he can “have air to create,” but it will be interesting to see how he what he has to say during his next concert, which will be held in Sacramento, California, Saturday.
