The Real Housewives of Atlanta’s 9th season is off and running and the cast of characters return this week with even more drama and shade.

This week’s episode is titled, ‘Housewife House Wars,’as the home building battle between Kenya Moore & Sheree Whitfield picks up steam.

Bravo synopsis:

Another unexpected guest pops up. Cynthia is forced to deal with the impact her marriage has had on her daughter and comes face-to-face with Peter. Kandi and Todd juggle launching an Ace-inspired product line and construction of their new restaurant. Momma Joyce gets the rumor mill going about why Phaedra’s divorce is dragging on. Porsha plans a girls outing.

VIDEO: RHOA Season 9 Episode 2

Porsha proves she’s learned some ‘Anger Management’ …

When last we left the lovely ladies of RHOA, they were all attending the housewarming celebration for Kenya’s ‘Moore Manor’.

When Phaedra brings Porsha as her +1 to the soiree, Kenya decides she doesn’t feel safe in her home with her uninvited former attacker in the room, so she politely asks Porsha to leave the premises.

Porsha keeps calm through it all and leaves without incident.

Phaedra (Frick) leaves with her friend (Frack), but also points out that there’s a trend with Kenya and events.

Hunni, I guess she was a bouncer in another life because at an event with Kenya someone is bound to get put out! ~ Phaedra

Producers provide further evidence Phaedra’s assessment as they show flashback footage of Kenya kicking Shamea from the boat at Lake Lanier, Kenya booting Glen Rice, Jr. from the mansion in Miami and also… Kenya dismissing Porsha from her 70’s party.

Kenya Forgives Her Male Attacker…

They say water seeks it’s own level and apparently Kenya’s level of ‘crazy’ has been matched by Matt, who also shows up unannounced to her housewarming event.

But instead of giving Matt the boot, Kenya decides to have an intimate one on one conversation with a man she’d previously accused of attacking her.

It’s interesting that Kenya can still feel threatened by Porsha but not Matt… but I guess ‘regular sex’ (as Pheadra pointed out in the episode) has Ms. Moore thinking with her ovaries.

Moving on…

Kandi’s Klique KiKi’s About Phaedra…

It’s clear that the friendship that once existed between Pheadra and Kandi is dead and gone and it’s unfortunate that the men in their lives are the cause.

Phaedra is upset that Kandi didn’t tell her Todd kept her husband’s belongings in their garage and Kandi still feels ‘somekindaway’ about Todd and Phaedra’s workout video fiasco.

Now there’s  even more of a wall building between the two as Kandi’s inner circle takes a few digs at her former BFF during this episode.

During a team meeting, Mama Joyce and Don Juan each share a delightful exchange about Phaedra’s shady shenanigans.  When Kandi talks about  Mama Joyce even brings u

I feel like she needs to be sharing that cell with Apollo.  She needs to be his roomate…

Mama Joyce continues in her very own confessional…

You see him leaving with a briefcase, but you don’t know where you can call him at his office.  HELLO??

Mama Joyce also calls Phaedra out about dragging out her divorce, which Parks CLAIMS is now final, but…

The roast continues as Todd confirms that Mama Joyce may be on to something and Don Juan jokes about Pheadra sitting around with her new boyfriend.

Meanwhile, Kandi makes a statement about being ‘cordial’ with Phaedra but apparently she’s not too cordial for allowing her entire staff to bash her ex-friend on the show.

But I digress.

A child shall lead them: Noelle shares thoughts on Peter & Cynthia’s breakup…

Cynthia and her daughter Noelle share a touching mother/daughter moment as they discuss the ‘break up’ between Cynthia and Peter.

There are so many reasons for Cynthia & Peter to divorce and Noelle gives her one more to add to the list.

‘Do you have low self-esteem?’ the teen asks as her mom appears shocked at the thought.  A super model with low self-esteem issues? Never!

Noelle seems to feel that her mother choosing to stay in a marriage where she argues about the same thing constantly is a clear indication that she doesn’t love herself… but it could mean that she loves Peter enough to work out their conflicts, as is normal in most marriages.

Whatever the case, it seems that Noelle’s statement is a defining moment as Cynthia decides to move on with her divorce.

Later, Cynthia meets with Peter and the pair share another emotional moment.   Bailey sheds tears as Peter confesses that he went to the hospital with chest pains and didn’t tell her because she’s no longer his emergency contact.

It’s clear that there’s still some strong feelings between the two, but Cynthia admits she doesn’t want to stay in a marriage where she’s unhappy.

Peter decides to set Cynthia free as he contacts the attorney he’s been dodging to tell him that he’ll sign whatever papers have been drawn up.

The two kiss and hug and it seems they are going to have the most peaceful divorce in the history of all divorces.

The Shade! Chateau Thelma vs. Moore Manor –

OK… I don’t know about you, but this whole ‘beef’ between Sheree Whitfield and Kenya Moore over their unfinished homes is already getting old and tired!

During the final scenes of this week’s episode, Kenya decides to speak to Sheree about all the shade she’s been throwing about her home.

I mean… since Sheree has been building her Chateau for almost 6 years, she really has no room to shade ANYONE on the progress of their construction project, but a check is a check, right?  But I digress…

Sheree and Kenya are each earning their pay this season by brutally insulting each other.  Kenya has referred to Sheree as ‘She By She Ain’t Sh*t’, while Sheree has constantly nit-picked about the unfinished touches in Moore Manor.

As they argue over who’s unfinished house is better, Kenya reminds Sheree that her home isn’t even in her name and that there are several IRS liens attached to the property (click HERE if you missed that), while Sheree has the audacity to shade Kenya about her furniture choices.

“You wanna be all this and all that but you shopping at Ikea for your unfinished house…?” ~ Sheree Whitfield

In a scene eerily reminiscent of Sheree’s past blow up with Nene Leakes, she chases Kenya out of the room while continuing to throw insults about Kenya’s home.

I guess it’s a match made in RHOA heaven.  I guess. But again… it’s only the 2nd episode and this ‘beef’ already growing stale.

Noticeably absent: Nene Leakes.

Honorable mention – Sheree’s various clip on phony ponies and wigs seem to have taken on a life of their own. She changed hairstyles at least 3 times this episode. LOL!
