As if we didn’t see this coming…

Ciara and her baby daddy Future?are now ALMOST free of court appearances after she’s dismissed a portion of her?$15 million dollar lawsuit.

If you recall, CiCi was suing her ex after he posted what she felt were defamatory comments?about her online (click HERE if you missed that).

Well, it seems that Ciara may be ready to concede defeat after a judge ruled that her defamation suit had no merit.

You may have heard by now that Ciara just landed a huge contract with Revlon to be their global ambassador (click HERE if you missed that).

Well, apparently Ciara’s good fortune has marred her defamation lawsuit since she can’t actually prove that she’s LOSING money because of what Future has said about her.

In Ciara’s lawsuit, she claimed that her ex damaged her public image by writing foul-mouthed tirades against her on Twitter, but a judge ruled last week that the?tweets were not enough to prove the 30-year-old singer’s image had been damaged.

The suit continues and Ciara has?to provide further evidence of?her defamation?claims, however according to TMZ,?Ciara’s lawyer, Larry Stein, just filed to dismiss her remaining claims for libel

Just FYI: Libel?is a written or published?defamatory?statement, while slander is?defamation?that is spoken by the defendant.

Future wrote several disparaging remarks about his baby mama online (which you can read?HERE), Future said in his response that when?he called Ciara a ?bitch? it meant overbearing, complaining or unpleasant? not a lewd or immoral woman as she claims in her suit.

Here’s the thing… in order to actually WIN a defamation lawsuit, you have to prove you’ve suffered financially, and apparently Ciara is actually making more money now than ever before.

So Ciara’s now dropped the libel claim — the judge already dismissed a separate defamation claim — but the case isn’t over.

But wait…. it’s still not over.

Ciara is is still suing Future for what’s called “false light” … alleging Future has made her look like someone she’s not. Proving false light does not require a showing she’s lost income. ?She could get money just for the heartache of it all.

Interesting that Ciara’s still continuing with the case. ?They both said a lot about each other in the public but whatever… I guess people deal with their feelings they way they see fit.
