The reunion took place on The Hallmark Channel’s ‘Home & Family’ show and Fields joined Lisa Whelchel, Charlotte Rae, and several suprise guests (ie Todd Bridges, George Clooney & Molly Ringwald), on the set to reminisce about the 80’s sitcom.
Fun Fact: ‘Facts of Life’ ran on NBC from August 24, 1979, to May 7, 1988, making it one of the longest-running sitcoms of the 1980s.

Home & Family’s “Facts of Life” reunion kicks off with a special message from actress Mindy Cohn, who played ‘Natalie’ on the iconic sitcom.
Todd Bridges is currently working as a gameshow host for ‘Lovers or Losers’ in Vegas, but he payed a surprise visit to the set, which prompted a screaming fit from Kim Fields.

In the video above, Bridges reminisces about how he was a sex symbol back in the day and reveals that once, during an appearance with Kim Fields, a random fan socked Kim in the face for ‘standing next to her boyfriend’.

Molly Ringwald was one of the original cast members of the show, but was written out during the 2nd season because there were too many characters.
Producers felt that there were too many characters given the limitations of the half-hour sitcom format, and reducing the cast members gave them an opportunity to focus on plotlines and give the remaining girls more room for character development. ?Ringwald did, however, continue to make periodic guest appearances throughout the remaining seasons.
