As Kandi and Todd prepare for their new arrival, it seems they are having a bit of a power struggle.
The nursery still isn’t done and the couple hasn’t even discussed what changes are going to occur once there’s a new baby in the household.
Kandi feels that Todd should be a 50/50 participant in caring for their new infant, but Todd feels that his input should be minimal since they have Riley and Kaela in the home to pick up the slack.
The couple also goes through a bit of baby training as an instructor comes in to give them a lil in-home training on how to care for their new baby.
Kim Fields decides to attempt to ‘fit in’ with the the ladies by hosting a brunch at her home. Fields and her stylist friend (Victoria) decide that there should be some sort of theme to her event, and they each decide on a ‘beat-less brunch’… i.e. no make-up.
“My idea is to have us all come together with as little make-up as possible to celebrate our NATURAL BEAUTY. My goal with this is to celebrate how beautiful you all are without all of the extra makeup that comes like we are going on the red carpet. I think we have to remember that make up is to enhance and not to cover up what you naturally have.”
Kim seems to think that it will be fun for the ladies of RHOA to ditch their lashes and made-up faces for a day of fun and snacks together… NOT!
Phaedra is adjusting to life without Apollo and is managing her new life as a single mother.
It’s been over a year since Apollo went in to serve his time and while Parks has often insinuated that divorce is eminent, she has also publicly stated several times that she hasn’t filed.
That being said, a storyline is a storyline and this week, Parks meets with her attorney to ‘discuss’ moving forward with her divorce.
Phaedra and her attorney even meet with Apollo’s attorney, Randy Kessler, to discuss co-parenting arrangements and custody agreements PRIOR to the divorce being filed.
Clearly, with Apollo incarcerated timing isn’t an issue, so this ‘storyline’ can drag our forever.
Moving on…
The ladies all get together for Kim’s ‘Beat-less Brunch’ and it seems not a nann one of them knows how to follow directions.
Phaedra claims she has on a ‘natural beat’ which includes lashes, browns, contour and lipstick, Porsha claims she came straight from work, Kandi says her dark circles are for her husband’s eyes only, Cynthia Bailey was picture perfect as usual and Kenya Moore has on a face full of derma-blend.
The only person who ALMOST followed directions was Sheree Whitfield but even she had on lashes and concealer.
But I digress.
Despite the ladies total disregard for Kim’s theme, they all manage to gather for a peaceful brunch as they rehash the events of the past few weeks:
Porsha and Phaedra discuss their experience at The Million Man March Anniversary.

Kenya talks about her experience returning to Detroit and how her Mom wouldn’t open the door.? Cynthia speaks about her new Cynthia Bailey Eyewear commercial that she wants to film on location in Jamaica.
Bailey also invites everyone to join them and make it another girl’s trip. As everyone seems to be getting along, Kenya’s bitterness rears it’s ugly head… again no surprise there).
The brunch ends with Cynthia requesting a business lunch with Kim and Kenya to discuss directing her project.
The stand up…
Cynthia and Kim get together to discuss ideas about her project. Kenya is supposed to be there as well, but she stands Cynthia up, claiming that she’s working on Moore Manor.
No biggie… Cynthia and Kim move on and have a very productive meeting without Kenya, but Bailey ends up questioning her ‘friendship’ with Kenya.
In her confessional, Cynthia notes that she was there for Kenya throughout that whole ‘Life Twirls On’ fiasco, and Kenya standing her up is clearly an indication that they aren’t on the same page.
That’s all I’ve got… I’m sorry. This episode was boring as hail!
Noticeably absent? Nene Leakes…. 😯
