It seems that Will & Jada can’t catch these days! šÆ
Just yesterday, the Hollywood power couple were ‘outed’ as being swingers by Alexis Arquette (click HERE if you missed that) and now… comedienne Mo’Nique is putting their business in the streets yet again.
Mo’Nique has been on this weird campaign to validate her questionable relationship with husband/partner Sidney Hicks and apparently she wants the world to know that they’re just like ‘Will & Jada’.
[FLASHBACK: Why Ask Why? Mo’Nique & Sidney Hicks Plan ‘Open Marriage’ Podcast… ]
Mo’Nique addresses the situation on her new ‘Open’ relationship podcast and she says she feels unfairly targeted for her decision to participate in her non-traditional relationship because she’s not one of the ‘beautiful people’. *sigh*
Mo’Nique explains her position in her new podcast, which is called Mo’Nique and Sidney’s Open Relationship, and she states:
I think that a lot of people took it as here?s this fat black women who has this good looking man and now she?s going to let him do whatever he wants to do for the sake of saying she has this good looking man?.and what?s funny is when you pull up celebrities and open marriages and you see Will and Jada, whoever the author of that article says, “Well we can understand. They?re beautiful people,” when you pull up Brad and Angelina they say, ?We can understand. They?re beautiful people,” but the moment you get to my damn picture they talking about, ?Awww. We hope Mo?Nique not gone let him do her like that!
And no one knew it was not Sidney?s idea to have an open marriage. It was mine!

So let me get this straight… now Mo’Nique thinks that it’s because she’s a ‘fat Black woman’ that has a ‘good looking man’?? Girl… whet?
No ma’am… people aren’t buying into your facade because they can see the lack of chemistry between you too. In my opinion, it has absolutely NOTHING to do with your looks and EVERYTHING to do with the energy that you put in trying to make everyone believe that your relationship is the way you choose it to be.
You don’t see Will and Jada or Angelina and Brad out there campaigning for the ‘Swingers Club’ and yet, Mo’Nique feels the need for validation each and every time she gets in front of a camera.
Mrs. Hicks… your marriage is YOURS. YOU took those vows (whatever they were) and YOU choose to stay with a man who could care less about what other man has you. If that’s your idea of marriage, I don’t want any parts of it.
At any rate, it’s Mo’Nique’s life to live and I don’t understand why she continues to put what is clearly a private decision out for public consumption. It’s clear that no one is buying what she’s selling and why should they?
She’s trying way too hard to convince people when in fact it’s not ‘the people’s’ decision to remain in that relationship, it’s hers.
