NEWSFLASH! Former Atlanta Braves outfielder David Justice wants to clear the air about that unexpected twitter rant about his ex-wife, actress Halle Berry.

Justice hit the tweets about a week ago ranting about how his ex-wife has a history of ‘victimizing’ the men in her relationship past and her other ex-husband, singer Eric Benet co-signed Justice’s train of thought (click HERE if you missed that).

Now David, who has been married since 2001, is taking advantage of the buzz and is speaking out about his twitter meltdown in an interview with People Magazine.

Justice and Berry divorced over 24 years ago but he tells People Magazine the rumors stirred up by their acrimonious split continue to haunt haunt him.

“Over the past 20 years, I’ve heard people saying, ‘Isn’t that the dude who hit Halle Berry in the head?’ ” he tells PEOPLE.

Justice continued his success on the baseball field for years after the divorce, winning two World Series pennants and the 2000 ALCS MVP award. But even his strong play didn’t stop fans from heckling him over rumors that he had abused his famous ex-wife. “They’d scream, ‘Hey Justice, hit the ball like you hit Halle!’ ” he remembers.

David even claims he was once approached by a flight attendant who asked,?“Aren’t you the guy who hit Halle Berry?” <<<?(insert side-eye!)

Justice’s?current wife Rebecca, whom he married in 2001, is in full support of her husband and claims she?heard the stories too before they started dating, but chose to give David the benefit of the doubt.
