Singers Monica Brown and Ciara once had a friendship that lasted over a decade but it seems that the two had a fast fall out shortly after Ciara’s break up with Atlanta-based rapper Future.
The fall-out became evident late last September when Ciara hit the tweets with a few subliminals aimed at her former friend.
Word on the curb was that Ciara caught wind that Mo was friends with Future’s baby mama (the one he cheated on CiCi with), but Monica says that’s not the case AT ALL.
They say I was friends with somebody he was cheating with, none of that stuff is true. I AM friends with one of the mothers of one of Future?s children, but it?s the mom that you never see, you never hear, that Ciara also has a good relationship with.
So a lot of the stuff you read is very untrue. Nothing that happened with us had anything to do with him.

Monica appeared on Streetz 94.5’s ‘The Jazzy Mcbee Show,’ where she opened up about the unresolved issues that severed her nearly 20 year relationship with Ciara.
We were very close. My brother and her were childhood friends. I looked at her like a sister. At the end of the day, I don?t know how all these different stories got misconstrued and put out. I?ve read all kinds of stuff that is absolutely not true.
She and I did have a disagreement. We both had issues with each other. When you have been friends for a long time, almost two decades, and you let things fester and you don?t talk about them, it can cause a breakdown that other people may not understand.
Brown also noted that she still loves and supports her former friend, even though they aren’t on good terms. When asked about her take on the controversy surrounding Ciara?s courtship with Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson, Monica offered supportive words, stating:
I make it my business to mind my business, that?s the difference with me.
I love the fact that she?s in love and happy, and I think the best thing you can do is to put God at the forefront of it, and other people completely out of it?especially the media [?] I know what I had to do when it came to me and my children, and everybody will make that choice as a parent.
