Lil Wayne partied the night away at Atlanta’s Compound nightclub where he played host Saturday (April 25, 2015) but just hours later, his tour bus was targeted by a car full of shooters.
Thankfully, no one was hurt, but Atlanta Police are investigating the shooting which occurred early Sunday morning while the bus was traveling along I-285.
While there have been no suspects named, the buzz on the street is that the situation stemmed from Weezy’s beef with a local Atlanta rapper.

Lil Wayne performed at Compound nightclub shortly before the shooting and many seem to feel that the shooting is connected to Wayne’s on-going beef with Atlanta-based rapper Young Thug, who was denied entry to the club that night.

It all started when rapper Young Thug and his heavily armed associates were reportedly denied entry into Compound Nigthclub, where Weezy was performing. Young Thug was booed by a hostile crowd in Weezy?s native Louisiana 24 hours earlier.
Young Thug?s associates allegedly confronted Wayne and his crew when the club let out around 3 a.m. An altercation allegedly took place outside the tour buses. Sources say off-duty Atlanta police officers escorted the tour buses from the club to as far as the Cobb County line.
Atlanta police were called to the 3300 block of Peachtree Road around 3:25 a.m. where they found two tour buses that had been shot multiple times.

WSB obtained the footage above after gunshots were fired at rapper Lil Wayne’s tour bus and their report is as follows:
Police say gunshots were fired at rapper Lil Wayne’s tour bus traveling on I-285 near I-75 early Sunday morning.
Atlanta police were called to the 3300 block of Peachtree Road around 3:25 a.m. where they found two tour buses that had been shot multiple times.
County County police say there were 12 people riding the two buses, and none of them were hurt.
Witnesses say the shots came from two white vehicles, possibly a Corvette-style vehicle and an SUV.
So far, police have named no suspects in the shooting.
