NEWSFLASH ladies! Comedian Chris Tucker is officially off the market!

Tucker and his fianc?, Atlanta news anchor Cynne Simpson, strike a classic ‘look at my ring’ pose during the Mayor’s Masked Ball in Atlanta, which was held December 20, 2014.

In my initial coverage of the event, I identified Simpson as Tucker’s ‘date’ and the comment section went wild with information about her identity. I also received several emails identifying Tucker’s ‘date,’ which indicated to me that SOMEBODY really wanted y’all to know about their relationship status… but I digress.

Apparently the pair have been dating for quite some time and while the ring is a clear sign of a commitment, there have even been rumors that they’re already secretly married!

Last September, Rodney Ho of The AJC spilled the tea that Chris Tucker and Cynne Simpson were definitely engaged, but the rumor of the couple being married was false.

There is evidence online via photos and video that Fox 5 anchor Cynne Simpson is dating actor and comedian Chris Tucker and two sources say they are even engaged.

A source inside the newsroom said she was showing her ring around.

As for her being married? Despite rumors, I?m told that is not the case.

An insider at Fox 5 told me he has heard she is dating Tucker and may possibly be engaged but is not sure if she has actually tied the knot.

Here’s what we know about Tucker’s bride to be, Cynne Simpson.

I’m not sure were she’s originally from, but Simpson is a graduate of Howard University,

She is an Atlanta television news anchor. She once worked at CBS46 (2003-2007) before spending six years in D.C. at the ABC affiliate.

Simpson returned to Atlanta last year to take over Amanda Davis’ spot at Fox 5 when Davis was suspended from her position after a drunk driving incident.

Amanda Davis announced her retirement a few weeks later, clearing a permanent spot for Simpson, who now?co-anchors the 5 p.m and 10 p.m. newscasts.

No word on how long the couple have been engaged, but they’ve made several appearances together over the past year or so.

Simpson was spotted in photos with Tucker and his 15 year old son, Destin, as they all vacationed in Puerto Vallarta back in July 2014, .

Cynne Simpson also interviewed her future husband for Fox5 last fall.
