Allow me to re-introduce myself, my name is Claudia….
Claudia Jordan is the new girl in town and while she’s no ‘housewife’ she’s definitely a good alternative to the real thing.
Claudia and Kenya get together for the 1st scene of episode 5 as she settles into her new Atlanta condo. She’s been in Atlanta for a while, but apparently her furniture missed the bus from NYC as she and Kenya are forced to sit on an area rug in the living room.
In another scene, Claudia and Kenya head to the gym in her base model Porshe Panamera. During their workout, Claudia reveals her troubled family history.
[Sidebar:? So… Claudia and Kenya were ‘friends’ but apparently Kenya had no clue about Claudia’s family history.? But I digress… ]
Jordan reveals she has color issues being that she grew up as a mixed child (she has a White mother and Black father) and admits that had issues connecting with her mother.
Kenya forms an immediate affinity towards Claudia, being that she had mother issues as well (she was abandoned by her mother as a child).
Claudia says that her mom didn’t understand the struggles she suffered as a mixed child and she desperately needed someone on her ‘Black’ side to talk to about the whole dark-skinned/light-skinned issues she was suffering at school.
Whatever the case, I suspect Kenya isn’t the one who’s going to understand Claudia’s plight being that she has her own issues with women and whenever they introduce Demetria McKinney (who’s also of mixed heritage), I predict that Claudia will dump Kenya like a bad habit.
?Moving on…
Mama Joyce’s Boyfriend Destroys Kandi’s Home…
Wait… how could this be? Mama Joyce the woman who fought tooth and nail over Kandi & Todd’s relationship seems to have a questionable relationship of her own.
Kandi generously gifted her mother with her old home after she bought a new one but apparently it wasn’t good enough and Mama Joyce chose to remodel it prior to moving in.
At some point, Kandi decides to purchase Mama Joyce a newer home closer to the city, so she and Todd visit her old home to prepare it for rental or sale.
When the get there the house is totally destroyed!? Apparently Mama Joyce’s boyfriend has taken on the task of remodeling the home and has torn down walls and rearranged bathrooms… even the ceiling fans are ajar!? Kandi thinks there’s at least $10,000 worth of work to be done and Todd makes a great point when he asks… ‘When do you get fed up?’
She was supposedly holding me accountable for things that were made up… but then you bought her a new house.
So there’s no consequence to any actions, that why she doesn’t stop any of her actions.
Great point Todd!
Cynthia Bailey? is totally fed up with her relationship with Nene Leakes and she uses her family time to vent about it.
Bailey and her husband Peter Thomas are joined by her mother and sister at their Atlanta home and Cynthia decides to list her issues with her former friends.
She tells her family that it was Kenya’s charity function that was the beginning of the end of their friendship.
“I’m ashamed to even say it, but I let way too much go on for so long,” Bailey states.
The breaking point Nene calling Peter a bitch. It’s been a snowball of events and I finally just got fed up with the self-centered shine of Nene Leakes.
Cynthia still doesn’t reveal any specific instance that caused her to tear up her friendship contract, but I guess when an RHOA friendship is dead, there’s no reviving it.
Phaedra vs. Kenya + Nene vs. Cynthia
?Kandi plays ‘peacemaker’ and gets the battling ‘housewives’ to all meet for dinner to hash out their differences.
Phaedra Parks arrives in all white and jokes about the ‘black angel’ comment she made during Cynthia & Peter’s island ceremony, stating that she dressed as a ‘black angel’ to ward off the evil spirits.
But the all white attire didn’t work…
Phaedra and Kenya get into it yet again over Apollo?s infamous lie. Kenya feels Apollo apologized for ‘everything’ while Phaedra has admitted previously that he never even told her about a conversation he had with Kenya.
Apollo has never said or admitted to me that he lied about the situation with Kenya.
I mean… like she paid Walter or tried to pay Walter & tried to rent the African man, I’m sure she’d pay Apollo to clean up her character, so… I don’t believe that.
During dinner, many of the ladies admit that it wasn’t Apollo that started the rift between Parks & Moore.? And Nene brings up the whole ‘Donkey Booty’ video beef.
[FLASHBACK: Dirty Donky Booty Battle! Kenya Moore’s DVD is NOT outselling Phaedra Parks… ]
Whatever the case the two ladies each issue a lopsided ‘apology’ to each other, but I still believe that Phaedra should have paid her dust!
On the flip side, NeNe and Cynthia come face to face for the first time in months, which leads to a rollercoaster of emotions.
The former BFF’s admit that they can be cordial and speak to each other but when forced to confront the true nature of their beef neither can pinpoint an issue.
Nene brings up when she called Peter the ‘B’ word and how she apologized and thought it was squashed.? Cynthia tries to call Nene a ‘bad friend’ but Nene out talks her during the emotional confrontation and totally shuts down the conversation.
Still… to this day, I don’t know why these two can’t make amends.? They both really seemed to care about each other at some point but now it just appears like Cynthia wants to spread her wings and fly… without Nene’s help.
