It’s official! Ice Cube and Dr. Dre are reviving the ‘worlds most dangerous’ rap group aka NWA!
Universal Pictures has just announced the release date for their highly-anticipated biopic, ‘Straight Outta Compton, which hits theaters this summer.
The new film, directed by F. Gary Gray (Friday, Set It Off, The Italian Job),? will be produced by the two original N.W.A. members, who are joined by fellow producers Matt Alvarez and Tomica Woods-Wright.
Super producer Will Packer also serves as executive producer of the film alongside Gray.

Ice Cube and Dr. Dre debuted the photo above of the cast this morning via Twitter.? Cube, Gray & Dre stand above the movie’s stars: O?Shea Jackson Jr. (Ice Cube’s son), Corey Hawkins and Jason Mitchell, who play Ice Cube, Dr. Dre and Eazy-E, respectively.
