Actor Omar Epps made quite a fashion statement recently when he hit the stage of ABC’s ‘The View’ rocking a leather skirt over his trousers.
Conscientious rapper Lord Jamar (Brand Nubian) has been?very vocal about what he considers the ?feminization of the Black man? in hip-hop and ever since Kanye West rocked his leather kilt on the Watch The Throne tour and A$AP Rocky appeared on B.E.T. wearing a leather skirt, the hip-hop legend has been calling them out.

So when Lord Jamar spotted one of his favorite actors, Omar Epps, rocking a leather mini skirt on ?The View? the other day, he expressed his disappointment on Twitter, stating:
Comedian Marlon Wayans, a childhood friend of Epps, stepped in to defend his friend against the online criticism and a twitter beef ensued.
What happened next was a timeline filled with insults followed by Omar Epps himself, posting a detailed explanation about his fashion statement.

?Omar apparently felt the need to address his attire and he claimed it was all to honor his African heritage. He posted the photo below along with a rant about African-Americans being disconnected from our heritage:
And needless to say, Lord Jamar didn’t fall for Epp’s wordy explanation.
Twitter beefs are always so entertaining! I must say that Lord Jamar made some valid points before and after Omar’s response.
