Well apparently the deceased songstress’ father is not feeling Queen Bey’s new remake, which is featured on the soundtrack for ‘The Great Gatsby’ movie, and he’s making it known that he does NOT approve!
Details below…
Queen B and Dre’ teamed up to record the cover of the 2007 ballad but the pair seems to have stirred up quite a bit of controversy for remixing the classic track.
The pair have particularly angered Amy’s father Mitch Winehouse, who was outraged to hear the full-length version when it premiered over the weekend, and apparently it’s Andre 3000’s rap verse that’s making him feel ‘some kinda way’.
Mitch Winehouse tweeted his disappointment last weekend:
?I don?t think she brings anything to it. I wasn?t asked for my permission if they could record it,? Mitch told the Mail Online.
“They have got to pay for the privilege, which is what they are doing. I can?t tell you how much it is but it?s a lot of money.?
And while Mitch has been outspoken as far as his dislike for the new remake, he admits that keeping Amy’s legacy alive through her music is a good thing.
What do you think of Amy’s father’s comments on Beyonce’s new remake?
