Bobby Brown is mad as hell and he’s not taking it anymore!
The legendary R&B singer, who recently served a 55 day jail sentence in 9 hours, has decided he’s sick and tired of The National Enquirer spreading inaccurate stories about his relationship with his ex-wife Whitney Houston.
Brown and his new wife Alicia Etheredge-Brown have filed a million dollar defamation lawsuit against American Media, the company that owns the gossip mag as well as author Derrick Handspike, a “close friend” of Brown’s who penned the unauthorized biography, Bobby Brown: The Truth, The Whole Truth and Nothing But….
Details below…
In March of last year (2012), The National Enquirer published an article that stated:
Before her tragic death, WHITNEY HOUSTON was set to stun the world by walk?ing down the aisle once again with her badboy ex-hubby BOBBY BROWN, The ENQUIRER has learned.

The information was credited to Handspike, who was mentioned in the article as a close friend of Brown’s and who wrote the book, Bobby Brown: The Truth, The Whole Truth and Nothing But…
According to TheHollywoodReporter,
Now, the Browns are taking National Enquirer‘s parent company and Handspike to court over the suggestion of an inappropriate affair.
The lawsuit was filed on Monday in New York federal court by attorney Christopher Brown.
Just for the record, at the time of the article, Brown was engaged to Etheredge and the two married June 2012 in Hawaii.

The article, which can be read HERE, quoted Handspike as saying that he heard it straight from Bobby’s mouth that he and Whitney were reconciling:
“Bobby told me, ?Whitney and me are getting married again.’ … They were planning a small wedding, prob?ably in Las Vegas with just the two of them and their daughter Krissi. …
Bobby told me, ?The world may have thought we were histo?ry, but the reality is we were never really apart. We?ve never stopped loving each other.'”
As you know, Whitney Houston passed away February 11, 2012, so we’ll never know her thoughts on the subject and American Media hasn’t responded to Brown’s claims.
