Kim Zolciak of The Real Housewives of Atlanta has officially “announced” her departure from the popular reality docu-drama.

As if you didn’t already know the TEA from all the hints I’ve given you over the weeks, Zolciak hit the tweets to explain that she decided to leave the show due to all of the “drama” and nitpicking.

Zolciak explains her decision to leave in a statement to InTouch weekly, stating:

I was eight months pregnant and there was so much drama; I just had to walk.

I?ve taken on so much in the past five years, but this was the final straw. My priority was the child inside me.

Kim also insinuated that it was her and her husband, Falcon’s player Kroy Biermann’s decision to walk because airing?their ghetto family secrets on?the show is negatively affecting their children.

My husband & I will do whatever it takes 2 protect our children. I am deeply hurt & saddened by my parents comments FACTS.. is you have none. Whenever u point the finger u got 3 pointing right back at u.

Let me set the record straight (yet again)…

The truth of the matter is that Kim was booted because none of the ladies on the show wanted to tape with her. Point Blank Period.

The “vets” (Nene Leakes, Pheadra Parks, Kandi Burruss?and?Cynthia Bailey) all banned together last summer and REFUSED to tape due to the fact that Kim either always left tapings early or sometimes wouldn’t come at all.

I’ve said it several times but told y’all the whole story when I posted the Season 5 premiere a few weeks ago (click HERE?to revisit that post).

Nene Leakes even threw a bit of shade at Kim’s inaccurate explanation…

She?s going to come up with every excuse she can possibly come up with,? explains her former best friend, NeNe Leakes, who goes on to mimic Kim, saying, ?My blood pressure was going up. My hair was shedding. My nails were comin’ loose. I couldn’t walk.?

And it got even better when Nene sent the following tweet….

?And as I said during the episode where Kim quickly exited from Nene’s poolside soiree... I commend Nene for not stooping to Zolciak’s level. ?It’s great to witness true growth.

Kim on the other hand… same ish different day.

I would think Zolciak’s gutter language on that social networking site and her proven track record of golddigging would be a greater detriment to her kids than her country Mom & Dad…

…but maybe that’s just me. *shrug*

At any rate, Kim’s about to be GONE (yippeeee!) and she admits that trickin’ ain’t easy… but she definitely got a few treats from her time on the show.

?I can?t say it was easy to end that chapter,? Kim says. ?After all, I met my husband through this show.?

There’s talk that Zolciak may get a chance to try to carry a show on her own (with her token Black friend/sidekick/slave Sweetie Hughes), I can honestly say that I’ll probably miss the slasher?Marlo Hampton more than I’ll miss that Kim… *sigh*
