A few years back, Kandi Burruss of The Real Housewives of Atlanta took Atlanta hairstylist Lawrence Washington under her musical wing.
If you recall, the song, entitled “Closet Freak” was featured during Season 3 of the show and the flaming hairstylist “reinvented” himself as “MISS” Lawrence. He even performed the song live during a special event that included all the housewives.

The song was released on iTunes January 29, 2011 and Lawrence recently revealed during that special “hairstylist” episode of RHOA that he was not properly compensated for the song.
Kandi didn’t waste anytime commenting on the situation.
While I’ve heard that Kandi pulled her support of the song after Lawrence refused to sign a contractual agreement for her management services, Lawrence stated on the show that there was actually a “split sheet” in place and that “no split came about.”
Lawrence also stated that he wasn’t a fan of doing business with friends because of his prior dealings with the Grammy award winning songwriter.
Kandi hit the tweets to explain that it was all business and had nothing to do with friendship, stating:
