Word on the curb is that Ceelo Green is being booted from “The Voice,” NBC’s popular talent competition, and will be replaced by another colorful character who just so happens to reside in his hometown…. Usher Raymond!
This news comes on the heels of Usher’s ‘Oprah: Next Chapter‘ interview, where, oddly enough, he said he was planning on scaling back on work so that he could spend more time with his 2 sons.

And if Usher replace Ceelo isn’t enough of a shake up, Christina Aguilera will reportedly be replaced as well.
Details below:
According to Us Weekly:
Shakira and Usher are set to replace Aguilera and Green, who have each coached teams on the show — alongside fellow mentors Adam Levine and Blake Shelton– for the past two seasons.
(The show’s third season has just gotten underway on NBC.)
Earlier this month, Aguilera opened up to Ryan Seacrest on his KIIS-FM radio show about her stint on the hit singing competition, admitting she once viewed her job as a coach on The Voice “kind of like a side project.”
“[I thought], ‘It’ll keep me close to my son [Max, 4] in L.A. I don’t have to travel,” the five-time Grammy Award winner said. “Then it kind of took off, and there goes my free time!”
So far the story is just hearsay, but if true… it looks like that “village” Usher was speaking up will be tending to the kids full time afterall… especially since he’ll have to move to L.A.
But wait! Maybe he was always planning to move the kids across country. I mean… the further away from his ex-wife, the better right? It kinda all makes sense now…
What do you think of Usher’s new gig?
