Atlanta Exes aired the 5th episode of its premiere season last night (September 9, 2014).

Last week, the ‘sisterhood’ between Tameka Raymond, Monyetta Shaw, Christina Johnson, Torrei Hart and Sheree Buchanan, strengthened as they resolved quite a bit of conflict with the help of a life coach.

This week, the ‘exes’ take a girlfriends getaway to the Caymen Islands, courtesy of Torrei , who invites them all down to a friends island home for some fun in the sun.

The ladies enjoy some bonding time and while there, Tameka reveals she’s having issues with Usher’s new live-in girlfriend, Monyetta deals with the pressure of her fresh break up from Ne-Yo, and Sheree talks to Christina about why she broke up with Willie.

Tameka confides to her friends that she’s having issues with Usher’s new girlfriend.

During the trip, Tameka says she pulled Usher’s lady to the side and basically told her ‘I’m uncomfortable with you being here.’

If the tables where turned, I’m sure that her ex would feel some kinda way if she had some random man shaking up with her and the kids… but I digress.

After facing criticism online and off, Tameka also reveals that she feels that the media is often on her husband’s side on the issue and most would jump at the chance to call her ‘crazy’ about her feelings concerning Usher live-in gal pal dealing with her kids.

Love her or hate her, but at least she’s honest. 😆

Moving on…

Beach and sunshine makes a breakup manageable…

Monyetta is having a hard time dealing with her break up from Ne-Yo, who reportedly did the deed online.

Ne-Yo (or Shaffer as Mo calls him) is taking care of the kids (along with a nanny) while Monyetta is away, and she’s feeling some kinda way about being away from them.

Mo calls but can’t get them on the phone but her friends encourage her to release and enjoy her time away.

You can’t dump a man just because somebody else dated him…

Christina is still having issues dealing with the knowledge that her new boo, Willie, was intimate with a close friend in their circle.

During their getaway, Christina takes some time to reflect on the issue and when she meets some of the island men, she realizes that Willie really isn’t that bad.

Monyetta and Tameka convince Christina that dumping Willie was silly, considering they had a genuine connection and when she finally talks to Sheree about the situation, she gives her even more sound advice by telling Christina that if he has everything she wants, he deserves a chance.

Upon reflection, Christina re-thinks her position and decides to take Willie back (IF he’ll have her).

The relationship ended, but life goes on…

Torrei deserves mad props for getting the ladies together for their fun in the sun and she has a one on one sit down with Monyetta when she notices that she’s not all there.

Monyetta breaks down and admits that she didn’t think she would EVER be in the situation she’s in and that all that matters is her family and the promises he made to her (and broke). Now Monyetta is hurt about the fact that she can’t even look forward to having a family with someone else, after the decisions that she and Ne-Yo made together.

Torrei showed Monyetta that she’s holding on to a lot of emotions surrounding her breakup, but as we all know, ‘one monkey don’t stop no show’ and life goes on.

I feel everything you’re feeling now because I was in the same place. It’s ok, cause guess what… life goes on.

You’re gonna grow stronger, you’re gonna become a more independent woman and you’re gonna get what you truly deserve… and it’s not gonna come with no bullshhht! It’s not gonna come with no mess. It’s not gonna come with someone who takes you for granted.
