Marlo Hampton, the background character on this season’s The Real Housewives of Atlanta, caught a beat down of sorts after a statement she made during an argument with Sheree Whitfield stepped on a few valuable toes.

My sources say that Marlo was hoping Bravo would edit the Gay slur (which rhymes with Maggots), but apparently she’s not as “in” with the producers as she would think.

So, after facing the wrath of a group of people who are largely responsible for her overall style, Marlo does what any self-respecting jailbird who depends on the gay community would do…

She EATS HER WORDS and apologizes for referring to them as f*ggots (rhymes with maggots):

It is with great disappointment in myself and sincere regret that I would like to issue to my friends, my most ardent supporters, and my followers, this statement:

I would like to offer from the bottom of my heart the fullest and most heartfelt apology for my recent use of an anti-gay slur.?

When I used this word, I was not mindful of the demeaning connotation that this has in the gay community.? My speech was irresponsible, thoughtless and said with the intention of conveying anger rather than as a statement on my feelings towards the gay community as a whole.

Where the hell was all that “etiquette” Marlo was talmbout when she went on a 10 day trip uninvited? Where was the “etiquette when she was yelling at Sheree for not inviting her to that party… and better yet, where was the “etiquette” when Marlo was slashing that girl’s face in the club?
