Growing up in her hometown of Chicago, Jennifer Hudson would have never imagined her name would graced an Oscar and a Grammy. The Chicago native also NEVER dreamed in a million years that her name would ever be on a weight loss center used to inspire others… but now it is!

The singer/actress was in her hometown Tuesday evening (September 27, 2011) for the ribbon cutting ceremony for “The Weight Watchers Jennifer Hudson Center,” her very own Weight Watchers center with her name on it.

Jenn is serious as hell about repping Weight Watchers to the fullest no matter what y’all haters have to say about it!

Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel, who attended the ribbon-cutting, called Hudson “Chicago’s ambassador to the world at large.”

Hudson, who has lost about 80 pounds, was named spokeswoman for the company back in April 2010.

The new weight loss center which bears Jenn’s name, has walls covered with posters of the svelte star and it’s located in a strip mall on Chicago’s South Side, not far from President Barack Obama’s home.

“I never thought I would make it to have my own center,” said Hudson, who wore a fitted, ruffled black dress and high-heeled studded black boots.

“I’m so honored to be here and see this day.”

That’s really a big deal! Congratulations Jennifer!!!

Jennifer looks amazing… (well I plead the 5th on that lacefront) but seriously… she’s been an inspiration to many to get fit (including me).

So while WW was not my diet plan of choice, I still have nothing bad to say about Ms. Hudson. Nothing at all.

Now can y’all stop saying she had weight loss surgery?? Please… 😕
