Chrisette Michele performed for Albany State College last week (April 1st) and revealed a new look…. a freshly shaved head!

When I first heard about her new doo, I assumed it was an April fools joke but Chrisette was serious and explained her decision to the crowd

I was tired of black sista’s feeling subject to having their hair pressed and straightened, and damaged, with relaxers, and heat. So I wanted to make short and nappy hair fashionable, and let the industry know that there is nothing wrong with the texture that we have been born with. So I plan to grow it out to the big beautiful nappy hair that I have.

Chrisette is beautiful with a short doo, afro, weave…whatever. Her decision to shave her head was a bold move and I applaud her.? She totally needs to remake India.Arie’s “I am not my hair”…
