T.I., Jay-Z, Kanye West & Lil Wayne, the self-proclaimed ‘Black Brat Pack’ performed Swagger Like Us during the 2009 Grammy Awards show last night.? It was hands down MY favorite performance of the evening. The tuxedos, the black and white videography, the expectation that M.I.A. was gonna drop that load she’s carrying at any second…all combined to make this performance ROCK! Great job fellas…and M.I.A. 🙂

Usher Raymond promptly canceled his performance at Clive Davis? pre-Grammy party due to a family emergency. The emergency? Well apparently Tameka was in Brazil to get a few nip/tuck procedures and experienced severe complications during her plastic surgery. A neurosurgeon, Dr. Gabriel Hunt of LA?s Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, has also traveled to South America to tend to Tameka. Josh Groban filled in for Raymond during Davis? event and Usher’s camp has issued no comments. Foster, a 37-year-old stylist, recently gave birth to the couple?s second child, Naviyd Ely Raymond. The couple?s first child, Usher Raymond V, was born in November 2007.
Grammy 2009 had no shortage of drama in that Chris Brown and Rihanna were no-shows due to a rumored domestic altercation.

Former Falcons running back Jamal Anderson was arrested early Sunday morning and charged with felony possession of cocaine and misdemeanor possession of marijuana.? Anderson, 36, and Mark Daniel Hudson, 20, both of Duluth, were caught sniffing powder cocaine off the back of a toilet tank by an off duty police officer. The two were found in the same stall inside the men?s room at Peachtree Tavern about 3 a.m.
A tavern patron alerted an off-duty Atlanta police officer to possible illegal drug use inside the restroom, he said.
?The patron had heard what he thought was sniffing from inside the stall and told the off-duty officer,? Redmond said. ?The officer went into the restroom, heard the same sniffing and peered over the stall door. He saw Jamal Anderson and Mark Hudson sniffing two lines of powdered cocaine off the back of the toilet.?
Police said they found a 1-inch square bag of cocaine and a marijuana cigarette inside Anderson?s pocket. The men were arrested without incident and booked into the Fulton County Jail for felony possession of cocaine. Anderson was also cited for misdemeanor possession of marijuana.
Both men will be held overnight pending a first appearance in Magistrate Court at 11 a.m. Monday, said jail spokeswoman Tracy Flanagan.
Redmond said the tavern could be investigated for allowing Hudson, who is underage, inside the bar. (Source)
T.I. and his youngest son Major are featured in the March 2009 issue of Blender Magazine. In the issue, Tip explains his reasoning behind their name choices:
?My kids would be the best representation of what I meant to this Earth. As long as they (are) able to fulfil their dreams, then I did something right. ?I want them to have high expectations. Ambition. And what better way than through their names? If people call you King, you?ll expect more of yourself.?
Tip admits in the article to being arrested at least 32 times. The 28 year old A-Town King, who is definitely not afraid of jail, also talks about how he’ll handle his upcoming year long stint which begins in March:
?Well, that depends on the facility. Some luxuries are available in some facilities that aren?t available in others. Some facilities have a TV, but you can?t watch it ?cause cats in there wild out so much. I?ll read the Bible a lot. Biographies, magazines. I don?t really read fiction. I read for information, rather than for entertainment. I?ll talk on the phone a lot. I?ll spend a whole day on the phone, checkin? on what?s goin? on, makin? sure things are taken care of. Ain?t a lot to do.? He says his fame won?t really make much of a difference: ?People are in awe at times about who I am. I can?t believe I?m in here with T.I., but that usually goes away in about three, four days. After so long, everybody just inmates.?
