Cincinnati Bengals star Chris Henry passed away yesterday after suffering from head wounds obtained during a domestic dispute. Henry was rushed to the hospital early Wednesday afternoon after being found on a curvy section of a residential road. Police said the dispute began at a home about a half-mile away, and Henry jumped into the bed of the pickup as his fiancee, Loleini Tonga was driving away from the residence.
Police said at some point when she was driving, Henry ?came out of the back of the vehicle.? Harrington wouldn?t say if the woman, whom police would not identify, was present at the scene when police arrived.
Two women from separate homes nearby said Thursday they saw the woman and the pickup at the scene when police arrived. Cheryl Hoffman said she came out with a blanket when she saw Henry wasn?t wearing a shirt.
?When I got to where he was laying on the ground out there he was very unresponsive, laying flat on the ground,? Hoffman said. ?He was foaming at the mouth, and I was very worried what was happening then.?”
Henry passed away from head injuries early Thursday morning.
According to Yahoo News, Henry was one of the many NFL players to be in and out of trouble during his entire sports career; his temper saw him arrested for numerous crimes, some violent, on and off the field.
This recent incident is being investigated as a domestic dispute and several days worth of information in turning up regarding Henry’s relationship with his fiancee Loleini Tonga.
These photos were ganked from Tonga’s myspace page where her recent updates revealed she was busy making wedding plans:
“Mrs. C. Henry” is a 25-year-old with ties to Ohio, Louisiana and North Carolina. At 8:00 PM on December 15, she posted: “Jus put deposIt down 4 weDDing piCs… Paid 4 ouR riNgs… Bout 2 eaT wiT my maN n bay bayz…. Startin 2 geT a headache thinKing bouT dis weddin.. I need A cuP.”
TMZ revealed that the two were arguing just days prior to his death about those same wedding arrangements and Henry was even seen storming out of a North Carolina wedding planning company.
Henry came to the ofice on Tuesday night to discuss the pricing of a photography package. The rep claims Henry became upset when he saw the bill and “with an attitude” asked Loleini, “How much we paying for all this?”
The rep claims the two “bickered” over details — and eventually Henry walked outside so Loleini could work out the details, fill out paperwork and fork over the deposit.
