A few days ago the internet was ablaze after news of Shawty Lo‘s arrest for failure to pay child support.

Well it appears it was all an elaborate hoax.
Now it’s been revealed that Shawty Lo (real name Carlos Walker) was apparently pulling a publicity stunt to gain more attention for his failed reality show!

Shawty Lo recently tweeted the photo above of he and 2 of his 11 children as they were flashing a handful of cash, stating:
HipHopEnquirer did the footwork that no one else cared to do and found out that the attention starved father of 11 (or is it 12?) just wanted to create a buzz for his new video:
After doing our own independent investigation into the matter and speaking with sources from Shawty Lo’s camp, we found out he was actually NOT ARRESTED due to failure of child support payment or anything for that matter.
It all started when a picture surfaced on the internet Friday night of Shawty Lo being handcuffed by a City of Atlanta police officer.
HHE spoke exclusively with Shawty Lo’s manger, Johnie Cabbell who stated that the picture is just a scene from the video shoot of an upcoming single.While speaking to his manager was only part of our investigation, we examined the actual photo of his purported arrest and determined that the cop wearing the uniform had an “Atlanta Police” emblem on the shoulder.
All Atlanta police arrests falls in the County of Fulton. We contacted the Fulton County Sheriff’s Department and verified Carlos Walker alias Rico didn’t have any arrests since 2010 and it was not for child support.
There you have it.
On a related note, Shawty Lo is on a mission to get his “All My Babies Mamas” show to prime time television by starting a new petition of his own.

The reality show wannabe recently hit up Atlanta’s Hot 107.9 to share his thoughts on Oxygen pulling the plug, he also encouraged fans to sign his online petition in hopes of the show getting back on air.
I feel like they didn’t give the show a chance to air to see what was going on and she made her assumptions off of the trailer. My life story wasn’t peaches and cream. Coming up was so, so hard for me… and basically what I’m doing is telling my story, showing how Shawty Lo turned a negative into a positive.
The show wasn’t about, ‘we finna be fightin’… a lot of fathers don’t take care of one child, don’t even be there with their children. But me? I’m there with my children I’m hands on.

Lo goes on to say that he’s doing everything in his power to let the world see that the show wouldn’t be as negative as they think.
They making their assumptions off a 13-minute trailer and this like the biggest news around the world right now and it’s unbelievable.
But I’m working hard for this show to air, because people do want to see it. My kids, they want to see it. They’re disappointed right now.
My show is not about no negative; it’s a positive. But if they wanna see the show, y’all sign a petition.

Hell, there are dude that have one child and can’t support them, so I commend the fact that he can support his kids but support that fuckery of a “show”, I WILL NOT!!!

Called it, I knew that arrest was fake, it had all the signs and predictable timing of a stunt. I wasn’t going to watch the show anyway. I was never interested in him as an artist, so Im not really interested in his personal life either.
Everyone has a cousin (or knows someone with one) that has a gaggle of baby mamas so really he’s not that interesting to anyone until tax season.

I would have checked the show out if it wasn’t name All my babies momma and it revolved around his kids. He could have shown how he takes care of them and spent time with them. The show is ratchett with all the titles he gave them. Anyways most former entertainers who do reality tv are trying to make a comeback. So the fake picture with him getting arrested was perfect buzz.
This show better not get any airtime. I am so sick of the toxic that people "try" to feed us the viewers. He needs to put all this energy into teaching his KIDS and students how to protect themselves from stds and preventing pregnancy.

Nope Oxygen got it right and there is no way he is hands on with all his children and have production time in the studio. Somebody is needing him and getting cut short.
The concept of the show is not horrible but the title is lol. As a matter of fact, it may help some of these blended families see that it doesn’t have to be constant drama. While these women do not hold hands and kumbaya, they’ve found a way to get along for the sake of the children. OAN I wonder if the petition starter started a petition to block Sister Wives or Big Love?
I don’t know if it’s all negative. I think it would be a great learning tool for me to sit with my sons and watch. I could have a coversation with them about how it’s not all fun and games for a REAL man to take care of this many children – it’s hard work. Depending on how this show is produced, it could show them that it’s not the best idea to have so many children because there is a lot of work that comes along with it, as well as all the potential baby mama drama. I think it’s real life and it is something that if more young black men saw and a dialogue could be started, then we may minimize so many of these incidents. I do think they need to change the man of the show though.
