Soulful singer Lyfe Jennings was last seen entering into a prison facility after being sentenced to serve time on charges stemming from an altercation with his baby mama in an Atlanta suburb back in ’08.

Jennings has since been released early from jail and he made his first public appearance last week, joining Carl Thomas for an impromptu video.
“It’s going to feel real good to the fans for you to put your next project out,” Carl Thomas said in the short video, calling Jennings “back in action”.

Lyfe didn’t have too much to say in the video, but Thomas expressed plans to collaborate with the artist, stating:
I’m looking forward to you actually getting back to the studio because I have some things planned that I would like to do.
Lyfe’s last album, “I Still Believe,” was released in 2010.

That fiest CD was the truth! Every track was beautiful and gritty story.He was even on middle aged white women shows. That’s what was so special about the REAL rappers. We actually LISTENED to their lyrics. But their time has come and gone.Love myself some Drake but mostly because of tracks and delivery. Lyfe was great,keyword "WAS". Can he do that again? I liked "Statistics" when it came out…though Lyfe’s voice initially took some getting used to. My homegirl got me his cd for my bday a couple of years (or a year) ago,,,nice songs, although a little too racy for my tastes.

Glad that you are out…really miss your music!! First and foremost you are a man and that makes you human. God is not throu with you yet. He has bigger and better things for you. Sometimes we need to sit down and rethink things and sometimes we don’t so we we are forced to do so. Going to jail doesn’t necessary make someone a bad person..both my sons have done time. One of them is still in (about to be released in Oct.) and he is not a bad person. We make wrong choices and decisions sometimes especially when comes to matters of the heart but we live and we learn. You have inspired a lot of people Lyfe, young and old, male and female. My son writes songs to and I know that you have definitely inspired him. I hope he comes home and do just what you did on your first release. You will always be my favorite and I can’t wait to hear what you have coming!!L. Keep your head up sweetie…Jesus loves you and so do I!!!
Got to love Lyfe Jennings. My daughter when she was in the service (Navy) heard his music and called and told me to purchase it. It was the first CD I had purchased in years and I did it and I am glad that I did it. I still listen to it. So Lyfe produce some more mature music and we will keep on listening. Try to stay out of trouble though so you won’t keep making history the same negative way but rather in a positive.
It was just recently I found out about Lyfe. I came across Lionel Ritchies "EASY" that they were singing together. OMG I could not get over this voice. I played it over and over… lol and still do. Then I was learning more about him and WOW! What a beautiful human being. A very incredible story! His voice is AMAZING.He is AMAZING! God Bless.
