While Long publicly denied the allegations while silently signing his name to those settlement checks to his five victims, his dutiful wife Vanessa G. Long suffered in silence by his side.
It had been rumored that Vanessa Long had moved out of the couple’s mansion months ago, but New Birth officials quickly went to work to dispute the rumors in the media.
The wife of the mega church leader has now officially filed for divorce and issued a statement this morning (December 2, 2011).
Here’s what Vanessa G. Long wants everyone to know…
It is my sincere hope that this matter can be resolved expeditiously, harmoniously, and fairly. I ask that you respect my privacy and that of my family, as my attorneys and I have agreed that we will not try this case in the media, and I do not intend to make any further statements concerning this matter.
I also ask that the public pray for my entire family during this difficult period of transition.
Thank you, and may God continue to bless and keep each of you.
I just wanna know what took her so long to stop drinking the Kool-aid. I sincerely give Vanessa Long mad props for standing by her man as long as she did but once he basically admitted his homosexual proclivities by signing those settlement checks, she shoulda been bounced.
Now Long is free to marry whatever any boy he pleases….
