Well apparently Marlo’s feelin’ some kinda way about her stint in the prison system released and wants to address her violent past.
I received the following from her publicist on Friday…

At any rate, Marlo says she’s past all that, but blame her ghetto upbringing for the fact that she caught a case after she beat a b*tch.
She explains that it was her “hard-knock childhood” and experiences in America’s foster care system that caused her life of crime… she’s since found God and no longer writes bad checks.

Read Marlo Hampton’s “extended” statement below:
“It has come to my attention that some of my past indiscretions have come to light. Let me first state, I am not ashamed of my past, as my past has helped me become a better woman today.
We all have a past; and my hard-knock childhood in the Foster Care system is a reflection on a bigger issue we faced in America, a broken Foster Care system.
I remain deeply sorry for my actions and I will continue to work hard to contribute to a better community.
My present charge in life is to live with God in my heart and help young women, especially from the foster care system, avoid the challenges I faced.
I’m more than just what is being said of me and I look forward to telling my story and helping others.”

If you’re black and living in america and you’re not rich nor have friends in high places….you will catch some kind of case at some point in your life. It’s a statistical fact! ATLien, what happened to ethics in journalism? After all the negative reviews that Phaedra Parks received about her cooning ways and her crooked husband, you have never written a bad post about them. Not one post has been written by you regarding her husband’s criminal history. It amazes me that you would post a huge story about this new housewife and post her mugshots for the world to see. It also amazes me that you previously disparaged Mayor Bill Campbell. Not only was he one of the best mayors that Atlanta has even seen but he is still loved by many of the people of Atlanta. Mayor Campbell did great things for our city but you still chose to insult him by calling him a "prisoner" in one of your posts. Mayor Campbell was NOT convicted of the crimes initially brought against him by the federal government. He was stripped of his law license and reputation for a mere $6500 in unpaid taxes. It’s unbelievable that you have given Apollo Nida more respect than a previous mayor of this city. My problem with this is how could a caliber of woman like this make it on a national program of "REAL Housewives of Atlanta"? This show continues to make us as a whole look more and more ghetto.. How low are they going to go? Other women from cities would not accept a person of this caliber on their show or would want be forced to associate with her to make ratings.. I found her statement quite sincere. I been in foster care, not in the states, and I have kicked some deserving bitches asses.
