Hair/Make-up extraordinaire Dariel D. Pulliam, Jr. passed away in the early morning hours of April 5, 2011.

You may recognize Dariel’s beautiful face from my “Boy You So Pretty” posts or perhaps you remember him as Neffe’s right hand man.

Most recently, Dariel worked as the make-up artist on Chilli’s reality show and besides celebrity faces & hair, he could also be found making “everyday” women beautiful over on Peter Street.

I’ve encountered Dariel several times throughout the years and he’s even done my makeup a few times.

It’s always been a joy to be in his presence. There was never a dull moment and Dariel always had that big smile on his face.

Dariel was hospitalized recently and diagnosed with a Staph infection.

Many of his associates and even several of his close friends were unaware that he was even sick, so you can imagine our surprise when we heard the news of his death in the early morning hours yesterday. Continue Reading…
