Several stars lit up the Thurgood Marshall College Fund 22nd Annual Anniversary Dinner in New York last night which celebrating 22 years of igniting the dreams of minority students attending 47 member public Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and 6 historically black law schools. The sold out event, hosted by Danny Glover, drew such A-Listers as Mary J. Blige, Monica, Fantasia and more. There were also a few faces we haven’t seen in a while.

Usher & Gucci Mane on set of “Spotlight” video shoot

Check out a few screen shots from the set of Gucci Mane’s upcoming video for “Spotlight” featuring Usher. The song was featured on a recent “A” Pod (Click Here if you missed it) and is yet another hot joint for Gucci. As if an Usher duo wasn’t enought to create quite a buzz, there’s much talk about the video in that it features Bria Murphy, the oldest daughter of comedian Eddie Murphy and his ex-wife Nicole.? The scenery may also look familiar to some of you club heads. It was shot at LIFE over on Cheshire Bridge.

Upscale Magazine, BET Networks, and Hennessy Black honored Monica with a red carpet celebration for gracing the Holiday issue of Upscale Magazine and the preview of her new reality series “Still Standing, which premieres on BET Tuesday, October, 27th. The event took place at Atlanta’s Bocado Restaurant and the celebration brought out tons of Monica’s fans, friends and family as well as Atlanta’s music community in anticipation of her new show.

Whitney Houston’s Waldrobe Malfunction: “I Sang Myself Out Of My Clothes!” (Flix/Video)

Whitney Houston was left red-faced and unsupported after a strap on the back of her long silver gown snapped open midway through her live performance on Saturday night’s ‘X Factor’. The diva was in the middle of singing her hit, “Million Dollar Bill”, on the U.K.-based television show, when the strap suddenly popped.

The wardrobe malfunction caused Whitney to stop briefly and fumble with the strap but like the trooper she is, she didn’t miss a beat and continued on with her song. Whitney later shrugged off the incident, as she jokingly stated to host Dermot O’Leary afterwards, “I sang myself out of my clothes.”

Kim Zolciak of the Real Housewives of Atlanta won her first award ever last week during the 2009 Fox Really Awards.? Kim received the “Fashionista” award for her choice of clothing that is 4 sizes too small hot stylish couture worn regularly on the hit reality series. Kim graciously accepted the award, which was given during red carpet arrivals and promptly reminded everyone that she and Big Poppa are officially over by flaunting her “engagement” ring worn on the wrong hand:
