Singer Ne-Yo aka Shaffer Smith has become a father!

His pregnant girlfriend Monyetta Shaw went into labor late Friday night (Nov. 12).? Ne-Yo heard the news while hosting a charity event for his “Ne-Yo Foundation” and rushed to be by her side.

The birth took place at an undisclosed Atlanta hospital and Ne-Yo made it just in time to witness the birth of his baby girl, who was born two months premature.? The child is reportedly healthy and Ne-yo is plenty excited about the birth of his baby girl.

He immediately expressed his joy via twitter, stating:

The baby’s name is reportedly Madilyn Grace Smith. Congratulations to the happy couple!
