Twitter can be used for many things but yesterday it was used by disgruntled Monica fans to blast BET over what appears to be a blatent snub.? As the nominees for the 2010 BET awards were announced, Monica’s name was noticeably absent from the “Best Female R&B Artist” category list.

The nominees are:? Beyonc?, Mary J. Blige, Melanie Fiona, Alicia Keys, and Rihanna.? Mo’s fans aren’t feelin it.? At ALL!

Monica responded graciously and assured everyone she’s ok with it:

I see all of your tweets and I thank u. I was disappointed to find I wasn’t in the R&B category but only briefly. It’s a blessing to be nominated at all. I have been R&B since I was 13…

So the bright side of it is u all get your say with the viewers choice award. VOTE HEAVY

Since Monica’s reality show, Still Standing is on BET, some feel that the network deliberately omitted her name from the list, so as not to appear biased.? Whatever the case, the fans ain’t buying it!

There are some heavy hitters on the list, but Monica’s name should have been among them.? I’m crying FOUL! Who’s with me?
