In yet another move that says “f*ck you” to all the haters, former Falcon’s quarterback Michael Vick has reached a deal with BET for an eight-part documentary series that will delve into his live from childhood through his prison term and into the present.
The show, entitled The Michael Vick Project, will trail the football player on his controversial comeback with the Philadelphia Eagles while also examining his troubled childhood and legal troubles stemming from his infamous 2007 arrest for running a dog fighting ring.
On the new docu-series, Vick explains:
?I just want people to really get to know me as an individual. What I want to do is change the perception of me. I am a human being. I?ve made some mistakes in the past, and I wish it had never happened. But it?s not about how you fall, but about how you pick yourself up.?

For the first time since serving his prison sentence for taking part in a dog fighting operation, former Falcon’s quarterback Michael Vick sits down in an on screen interview. He’s finally free to talk about his experiences now that he’s been picked up by a team. Friday, during a press conference, Vick announced that he signed a two year contract with the Philadelphia Eagles. Hopefully, the man can finally move forward and live his life. Vick has served his time, paid his dues but some people still can’t let go of the animosity.
In an in-depth one on one interview with 60 minute’s James Brown, Vick explains what he did, why he did it and how he says he’s changed.
When I was in prision I was disgusted because of what I let happen to those animals. I could have put a stop it. I could have walked away from it. I could have shut the entire operation down. But I didn’t…
When asked how he felt about losing his huge contract. Vick humbly admitted that he deserved it:
Football don’t even matter. Losing a $135 million dollar contract doesn’t matter. It don’t matter. I deserved to lose that because of what I was doing…

Young Jeezy issued a warm “Welcome Back” to former Atlanta Falcon quarterback Michael Vick recently during his stop in Virginia for the AMW tour. The two chopped it up and Mike introduced his lil cousin, who’s an aspiring artist. Vick, who’s finally free from federal custody is also in Atlanta today to speak on behalf of the Human Society. He is currently at the New Life Community Center to speak to kids about dogs, dogfighting and how to deal with potentially violent dogs, but according to the Associated Press, media wasn’t allowed in the building:
The former Atlanta Falcons quarterback entered the New Life Community Center through a back entrance Saturday for an event put on by the Humane Society of the United States.
However, several members of the community were barred from entering the building. The society also refused to allow The Associated Press to enter.
Vick is still searching for a home team and has been conditionally reinstated by the league after completing his 23-month federal sentence for running a dogfighting ring. His Atlanta visit is a step to improve his image since his release. We’re all rooting for you Mike!
