Lil Wayne’s not allowed to sign autographs while in prison, but he CAN write letters to his fans (and blog about it).
In his first public letter since he began serving his one year sentence on Rikers Island, Weezy F. Baby addresses his fans’ concerns about his well being:
During my prison stint, I want my fans to know I love you. I want all of you to know that I appreciate all the mail I get, and this is my way of saying thank you. The F is for Family, Friends, and Fans.
In case you haven’t figured it out yet, Lil Wayne’s rumored boo Shanell of Young Money has a mixtape coming out soon (April 1st) and is calling it “The Shower”.

Rapper Lil Wayne reported to a New York City courthouse today (March 8th) to begin his one year jail sentence. As previously posted, Wayne’s sentencing was postponed three times; Once to obtain dental surgery [READ: Lil Wayne Displays New Grill], again on March 2nd when there was an unexplained fire in the basement of the NY courthouse where he was to be sentenced, and then a final time March 3rd when the judge felt more time was needed to repair the courthouse after the fire.
Wayne reported to court today around 2 p.m. to hear his sentencing. There was a crowd of onlookers and paparazzi outside who were in a frenzy when Weezy made his appearance. Continue Reading…
Lil Wayne’s sentencing hearing has been postponed… again. This time, it was the judge who made the decision. You may recall that Wayne’s hearing, originally scheduled for March 2nd, was postponed due to a fire in the courthouse, well the Judge feels they need more time for repairs:
According to TMZ:
Lil Wayne will not be going to jail today ? dude?s check-in date was just pushed back again ? for the 3rd time!!!
If you?ve been following the saga ? Wayne was originally supposed to go to jail a few weeks ago ? but the judge cut him a break so the rapper could swap out his diamond teeth for a less expensive set.
Then ? he was supposed to check in yesterday, until a fire broke out in the courthouse and everyone was sent home.
Now, the judge has decided to once again push back Wayne?s court date so more repairs can be made to the courthouse.
According to the Manhattan District Attorney?s Office ? Wayne will be back on Monday ? unless some other crazy, unexpected thing delays the case again.
