Nelly held a press conference this weekend in Las Vegas to announce his new CD “Brass Knuckles.”? Jermaine Dupri, Akon and Sylvia Rhone (President of Motown and Exec. VP of Universal Records) were all spotted at the event.? “Brass Knuckles” will be Nelly”s first full album of new songs in four years is scheduled for release on August 19, 2008…and no.? There was no sign of Ashanti. 😕

Video ~ Greg Street’s Message to Jermaine Dupri
Atlanta DJ Greg Street is pissed off and frustrated with Jermaine Dupri and tells him so via video. Street tells JD he’s playin himself by being disrespectful to the “A” (JD once said “I’m the biggest thing since Martin Luther King!”)…he also says that JD is internationally known but not locally respected and that he needs to change his name to Jer-LAME Dupri.
Can’t we all just get along… 😕
Nas Album Cover Revealed ~ It Says N.I.G.G.E.R. Loud & Clear
After dropping the controversial “N.I.G.G.E.R.” title and then proclaiming that it’s still called “Nigger,”?Nas unveiled the album cover for his 9th studio album last week.? Untitled…maybe…but the image of Nas with welts on his back in the form of an “N” says it all.??Nas even tells Billboard that the cover “speaks for itself.? It says [N-Word] real loud.”?? The album is scheduled for release July 1st and has several Atlanta connections, including Jermaine Dupri, Polow Da Don (My Legacy), and DJ Toomp (N.I.G.G.E.R.). Read More…

Jermaine Dupri and D-Nice give us a peek inside of the Ludacris Foundation Dinner last night.? D-Nice had his camera so I’m sure some hot shots from the event will show up over on his site soon.? The?dinner was held at Luda’s new restaurant, Straits (793 Juniper St. NE in Midtown Atlanta). The grand opening of straits was held the night before.? Dayum JD…stop yer yellin! *sigh* I got this video in my inbox 5 times so obviously Jermaine Dupri wants y’all to know something. He’s pissed! 😯 JD says that Billboard ain’t right…how they gonna put Usher as an “alternate” cover? “The one on the front is bought and Usher’s is for free…from the label.” Hmmmm….maybe Usher’s star is dimming. JD, you ever though of that? One hot single ain’t gonna fix what’s broke. Love or not…Tameka has put that boys career to bed. It’s a shame ain’t it? Let’s hope that the entire album is on FIRE cause he’s gotta come back swangin to get his respect back. I’m rootin for you Ursh!
