Ricketts got word from a friend that her son had been posting status messages on his facebook page indicating he might try to hurt himself, so she decided to punish him with a beating.

A 17 year old South Atlanta teen got the shock of a lifetime yesterday after the Clayton County SWAT team kicked in his front door!
The teens father, spoke with Atlanta’s WSB news, explaining that it was his son’s Facebook page that prompted the visit.
Authorities say Jonathan Oliver posted photos on Facebook of himself waving a gun along with comments that he wanted to kill police.
Yep… seems about right 😕
But get this… when the SWAT team busted into their house, screaming and using tear gas… all they found was a few BB guns. *sigh*

A Michigan woman says she was “shocked, humiliated and embarrassed” by a Facebook romance gone awry and is seeking damages from her former online love.
Cheryl Gray, a 50-year-old unemployed paralegal says Wylie Iwan, a 35-year-old Applebee’s employee, led her on.
Gray claims she spent hundreds of dollars on gifts and a trip to visit Iwan, but was humiliated when he posted vulgar comments on her Facebook wall and was “devastated” and angry when a week before her planned trip, Iwan said he’d met someone else at a bar and no longer wanted to continue their “relationship”.
Now, “I feel foolish,” Gray said. “I’m not so much mad or angry. I feel foolish. I am disillusioned.”
Gray has decided to take her hurt feelings to court, filing a lawsuit seeking to recover $8,386.88 from her former online flame. Continue Reading…

That means that just about everyone you know has a Facebook profile and those that say they don’t are probably lying to you.
That being said, social networking is so common place that it has become a part of our everyday existence.
Due to the commonality of our use of social networking, we all have our pet peeves.
I ran across a hilarious viral video recently entitled, “Top 10 Things We Hate About Facebook”.
The video is narrated by puppets but the furry creatures capture the essence of “all things Facebook” that rub us the wrong way.? From photos of the dinner it took your “friend” hours to prepare to Mom stalking your page… I think they just about covered ’em all!
