This past weekend, I had the pleasure of participating in the 2nd Annual NFL Back2Camp Weekend hosted by D.R. Elite and Botchey Entertainment. The weekend was dedicated to raising money and awareness for the Communities in Schools of Atlanta; a non-profit organization whose goal is to keep children in school and of course I was DOWN for the cause.

Several events were held throughout the weekend but what struck me was the Harlem Night’s themed fundraiser that was held at Hotel Palomar in midtown.? The evening started off with a red carpet reception where we all mingled with cocktails, afterwards there was a silent auction that included autographed pieces from notables like Tiger Woods, Michael Jordan, Jay-Z, Tina Turner, Barack Obama and more.

I give mad props to the sponsors for taking care of business on the very first night.? Ligatt Security and Spoofem.com in partnership with the 2nd Annual NFL Back 2 Camp Charity Weekend presented two (2) $15,000 scholarships and two brand new laptops to Mishyelle Cleveland and Myia Veasey (pictured below); 2009 high school graduates from the West End Performance Learning Center – a non-traditional school operated in partnership with CIS of Atlanta and Atlanta Public Schools.

This weekend was all about business and fundraising and, believe it or not, there were way more NFL Players in attendance than hoochie groupies. Hot bods spotted chillin this weekend included: Abe Elam and Calvin Pace (Jets), Deon Grant (Seahawks), Nate Jones, Ronnie Brown and Jason Allen (Dolphins), Daniel Wilcox (Ravens – retired), Joe Johnson (Saints – retired), Roddy White, Michael Jenkins, Antoine Harris, and Von Hutchins (Falcons), Julius Peppers (Panthers), Charles Grant (Saints), Chad Jackson and Darrell Hackney (Broncos), Evan Oglesby (Ravens), Anthony Henry and Eric King (Lions), Derek Anderson (NBA), Rubin Patterson (NBA), John Henderson (Jaguars), Julius Wilson (Buccaneers) and Carlos Rogers (Redskins).

I personally attended the kick-off? Harlem themed Fundraiser dinner and the Pool Party held at Jason Allen’s (of the Miami Dolphins) Atlanta home. And yes….I did manage to capture a few flix in between my shots of Nuvo and Goose! Ha!
