Bishop Eddie Long Denies Marital Break Up Rumors?. *STATEMENT*

Rumor has it that Bishop Eddie Long’s wife, Vanessa, left him but the church says she’s standing by her man.

New Birth Missionary Baptist Church Spokesman Art Franklin, said they chose NOT to respond to the ?rumors? but now has issued a statement to dispel them.

The church released a statement saying the rumor was ignored because the church is focusing on doing God?s work, but ?many people can?t discern the difference between legitimate journalists and irresponsible bloggers.?

“Mrs. Long has not moved out and is very much a loving, dedicated and committed wife and mother.”

“It is unfortunate that anyone would make such hateful and damaging false claims of this nature. These cruel and insensitive rumors have the potential to cause immeasurable pain and suffering. Those involved should feel obligated to retract their earlier statements,?

[Sidebar: I’d rather be an authentic “irresponsible blogger” than a hypocritical “man of God”…. but maybe that’s just me.]

Last Sunday, as Bishop Eddie Long preached the word rocking his good nappy fro wig, a woman casually walked up to him in the middle of his sermon and handed him a huge wad of cash.

Long hugs the woman and she strolls back to her seat (bad weave and all)…

Stunt? I think so… 😯

New Birth members are leaving in droves, Long’s wife is rumored to have flown the coup, money is dwindling and Long’s “confidential” settlement to those 4 young men who accused him of coercing them into various sex acts is said to be nearly $25 milli…

What began as a $2 million agreement to settle the case for each of the four men quickly rose to $5.5 million for the respective plaintiffs, only because Long refused to publicly admit guilt.

The men are to divide $2.2 million equally and then receive $400,000 in payments until the money is paid out over the next 20 years, the source said. The final figure comes to $22 million for the four men and $2.8 million for the plaintiffs’ attorneys. (source)

Money is tight as hell right now in the Long camp… so why not pull a stunt queen act to get the cash flow going?

They Say: Bishop Eddie Long’s Wife Reportedly Moved Out…

Although Long has a friend in fellow mega church leader Creflo Dollar, who recently denied membership to former New Birth members, apparently his wife has had enough.

Word on the curb is that Vanessa Long, the wife of embattled Bishop Eddie Long, has wised up and decided to ditch her cheating homo husband.

According to Mr Mo’Kelly, in light of Eddie Long reaching a settlement in the sex scandal lawsuit, Mrs. Long has packed up and moved out of their mansion.

Well-placed spies for?The Mo?Kelly Report and long-time members of New?Birth are alleging that Vanessa Long, the First Lady of New Birth has moved out of the house, in fact taking one of the children with her due to the scandal.

Of course no one at New Birth has confirmed or denied that Vanessa Long has flown the coop, but perhaps she finally came to her senses like everyone else.

Just days after the settlement had been reached between Long and the 4 men who accused him of sexual misconduct, longtime Long supporter and New Birth Elder, Bernice King also made a wise decision to separate herself (and the King family name) from New Birth.

Stay tuned. Like I’ve said many before… there may be a settlement but it ain’t over.

As you know, Long reached a confidential out of court settlement with the four men who accused him of sexual coercion, and their lawsuits against him have been officially dismissed.

The View’s Sherri Shepherd feels some kinda way about Bishop Eddie Long…. and had a few choice words for him during a recent show:

If you are a man of faith, WHY would you settle out of court?

If you have God and you have INNOCENCE, those of the two most powerful things you have. David fought Goliath and he won with GOD.

So you know that that tells me? That tells me that something inappropriate going on…

In contrast, Creflo Dollar of World Changers Church addressed his growing congregation and told New Birth Members to return home:

If you from that church that you know what I’m talkin’ bout and you tryin’ to join here, I don’t want you here!

That is my friend! That is my brother in The Lord!

And in response to Long settling with his accusers, Dollar states:

He had a wreck, but he had insurance…

I can’t believe that people would leave their preacher JUST BECAUSE HE HAD A WRECK.… instead of praying for him.

NEWSFLASH! Bishop Eddie Long is Out of Rocks… Settlement Reached in Sex Scandal!!!

Bishop Eddie Long has reached a settlement today (May 26, 2011) with the four men who accused him of sexual coercion, so now they’ll have a bit of spending money for Memorial Day weekend.

Attorney BJ Bernstein (counsel for the 4 plaintiffs)? says that neither she, nor the men who made the complaints would speak about the settlement but she released a statement on their behalf saying only, “The matter has been resolved.”

Four former New Birth Missionary Baptist Church members filed lawsuits against Long, his church and youth academy, after they said he used his power and influence to entice them into sexual relationships.

Long denied the claims… even taking it to the pulpit with a sermon on David & Goliath, but apparently that final stone he preached about was thrown by his accusers.

Long agreed to a hush-hush settlement that came after he and his accusers attended court-ordered mediation sessions.

I hate to say I told y’all but I did. Long was NEVER gonna let this go to trial because he knew that the allegations were too explosive.

There’s no disputing the emotion that was displayed on the face of Jamal Parrish when he was ambushed by that reporter.

All I know is… New Birth Members are all idiots IMO if they continue to shell out cash to that man.

Easter Sunday 2011, Bishop Eddie long rocked his cream and lavender muscle vest suit and confidently preached a cryptic message to the four men who filed lawsuits accusing him of sexual coercion.

During New Birth Missionary Baptist church’s annual Easter service, the “Bishop” addressed his congregation with the standard sermon about Jesus rising from the dead for our sins, but throughout his delivery Long made a point of sending a few subliminals to his accusers:
