Video ~ BET Hip-Hop Awards Red Carpet Highlights

The 2009 BET Hip-Hop Awards has come and gone and Atlanta is still surprisingly intact. The awards show went off without a hitch and new host Mike Epps kept the crowd rolling. I was prepared to do a full recap for you guys, but honestly compared to the two previous years the event was a bit lackluster.? No convicted felons were caught attempting to purchase weapons (2007), there were no last minute changes to the host (2008)…absolutely NOTHING!? The only “drama” that surrounded the event was Frankie crying on the red carpet, Gucci Mane’s “Sobriety” PSA which ran immediately after his performance of WASTED and Missy Elliott puttin Diddy on front street for still owing her cash. Shouts out to BET’s Lyntina Townsand for being so gracious and helpful. Awards show coverage is always exciting (and stressful) but this year the show went on without a hitch.? Great for BET but sux for us bloggers. Oh well…hopefully the Soul Train Awards will be a hot mess so we can have more to talk about.
