The 2008 BET Hip Hop Awards virtually TOOK OVER Atlanta this past weekend. ? Streets were shut down and midtown residents were pissssssed off! ?Me? ?I was in heaven as all my favorite hip hop honorees were in one spot and although the awards SHOW took over Atlanta, Atlanta artists took over the show! ?I came, I saw, I wrote about it…check out a few of my favorite moments from the show:
Beyonce Alowishus from Atlanta radio station 107.9 caught up with Young Dro on the red carpet of the 2008 BET Awards. ?Way too many thangs going on this video! First of all, Beyonce called Dro “Swaggerful” and secondly…Dro’s bad usage of the english language is entertaining yet confusing to even THIS ATLien! 😕
“Puff…gimme a talk! ?Holla at me!”
and third…this knee-grow walked the red carpet with a man-bag (aka Murse). He just lost a ton of goon points on that one.
I thought i’d drop you a few quick flix of Ciara looking amazing at the 2008 BET Hip Hop Awards. ?The awards show was held last night at the?Boisfeuillet Jones Civic Center in Atlanta, Georgia. ?BET granted me full media access to the show and I “micro blogged” live play-by-play action last night on Twitter. ?I also covered a few parties and will be posting more pics soon.

I caught up with Big Boi last night and besides that fact that he made me blush several times, Mr. Patton gave me some inside information about some upcoming projects. ?I know you ALL are waiting for Sir Lucious Leftfoot to drop but Big Boi already has another project completed and ready to go. ?I’m sworn to secrecy on the name but just know that the title is about as comical as Sir Lucious Leftfoot: The Son of Chico Dusty. ?Also, the biggest bit of news he let drop was that he met with Dre Thursday night and the two are officially working on another Outkast project! ??I’m so happy, I’m bout to put on my wedges and do a table dance!!!

The BET Hip Hop Awards officially have the “A” on lock. ?I’ve been running around like a mad woman since Thursday trying to hit up all the hot spots like a kid in a candy store. ?Last night I attended an event at the W Hotel in midtown and spotted Polow the Don checking out one of our in-town guests. ?I’m sure he was just thinking about how, when and where he could show her around…

Christopher “Ludacris” Bridges can now add “cap designer” to his ever growing list of achievements. The spactacular rapper/entrepreneur recently designed a cap himself celebrating his love for the “A” town. ?The cap features a large Atlanta Braves “A” style crest on the side-front left that is half clear crystals on the right and half black crystals on the left. ?New Era hosted a party in his honor and to celebrate the 1 year anniversary of the Atlanta Flagship store.
Shouts out to Nicole Garner of The Garner Circle PR for the invite!
