After documents surfaced recently that Cedric “Alfamega” Zellars had once been a paid informant, T.I. wasted no time in hitting the airwaves of Atlanta radio station 107.9 to release the following statement…“You’re FIRED!” 😆 Just kidding. Here’s what he really had to say:
I am stunned and totally surprised by the news about Alfa ?Ced? Zellers. Even though all of our artists and employees are asked by us to be honest and open about their past history, at no time did Alfa disclose to me or Grand Hustle what has now appeared in the media. He essentially deceived us by failing to fully disclose the truth about his past, and there is no place in our organization for dishonest and misleading behavior.
As I?ve always said, you must take responsibility for your own actions. We at Grand Hustle can not support or condone blaming others for our own mistakes. I hope and pray that God blesses Cedric’s plans, but i don?t foresee me or my company playing a role in his personal or professional business.
Alfa is said to be incapacitated at an Atlanta area hospital and is severely injured from unknown reasons. I have so many questions right now. Who leaked those old “A”zz documents? Why now? Why is Alfa in the hospital? What does any of this have to do with him making music? We may never know the full story but it’s interesting nonetheless…
Billed as the prot?g? of rapper/gun enthusiast T.I., Cedric “Alfamega” Zellars is a convicted felon whose songs brag about his status as an “original gangster” and contain de rigeur references to police tape, automatic weapons, and murder. Zellars, who records for T.I.’s Grand Hustle Entertainment, is a hulking 6′ 4″, calls himself “The Grand Hustle Muscle,” and proclaims, “I’m a real hood.” What he does not mention, though, is his prior work as a Drug Enforcement Administration informant who snitched out criminal cohorts and testified as a government witness at the trial of an Atlanta heroin trafficker.
Court records show that Zellars began working with law enforcement officials after he was sentenced in October 1995 to 110 months in a federal gun case (Zellars, who had a prior felony robbery conviction, was collared for selling weapons to an undercover federal agent). Zellars “agreed to cooperate with authorities and was debriefed” about
The KING, T.I.P. and his Grand Hustle Crew, which includes Young Dro, Bobby Ray (aka B.o.B.), Young LA, Big Kuntry, Killer Mike, Alfamega, Lil Duval and 8Ball & MJG all got together to participate in a photoshoot for The Source Magazine. The best part of this video for me was seeing Lil Duval walkin round with his laptop checkin his MySpace and Twittering (Twitter.com/LilDuval). When clowned about it, Duval responded that all of the crew were computer literate but none of em would admit it. 😆 All these dudes look like they ginuinely love and respect each other which hopefully will translate into some good music for them all.? Grand Hustle HOMIE!
I haven’t seen AlfaMega around in a minute and wondered about him a few weeks ago on TWITTER. Someone must have heard me ask about him cause he just did a lil video drop from *cough* an “undisclosed location” where he gives Tip a bit of advice about serving his time and also speaks about fake “A”zz internet gangstas. Alfa says he’s been on “vacation” and we all know what that means, but I guess he’ll be back soon enough…
Grand Hustle’s Alfamega sat down for a little one-on-one with StraightFromTheA.com. The larger than life rapper, dubbed the “muscle” behind T.I.’s P$C clique got up close and personal about the 2008 Dirty Awards fight and it’s aftermath. ?Alfa discusses why he felt he had to defend himself and also reveals that it wasn’t he who started the fiasco. He talked at length about being maced and pepper sprayed by the police and cleared up any misconceptions about him being arrested that night. Alfa?also expressed sincere concerns about the escalating drama between Grand Hustle and D4L and apologizes to Radio One and the fans of Atlanta for his part in the situation:
“Sometimes certain things must happen in order to make a right thing come about. ?God destroyed the world in order to make it back RIGHT again. ?It takes sometimes a disaster to make things right…”
Alfamega also took some time to answer a few questions from his fans. I sent out a Twitter Message asking readers what they wanted to know about Alfamega.?Although some of y’all were tryna get me killed, I stood strong and asked the tough questions just for you! ?Check out Alfa’s answers to your questions (on tape) below (hilarious!) 😆 : Continue Reading…
