Nene Leakes of The Real Housewives of Atlanta got the surprise of her life this past weekend when her hubby Gregg rounded up a few of their closest friends to celebrate Nene’s birthday Sunday evening (December 15, 2013).

Nene, who turned 46 on December 13th was greeted by her friends and family at Atlanta’s STK restaurant for an intimate birthday dinner in honor of another blessed year on earth.

The big homie Gregg Leakes shut down STK?Atlanta for his wife NeNe Leakes and twenty of their closes friends and family members. Gregg had to be slick because NeNe was not trying to have a big party this birthday. She just wanted to chill. She just wanted to relax. Gregg had planned on throwing a huge party at the Ritz Carlton in Atlanta but NeNe got wind of his party plans and canceled the party.

Cynthia Bailey receives an emotional visit from Kandi Burruss, seeking advice on how to handle Mama Joyce. Phaedra Parks gets an earful during an unexpected visit from Mama Joyce, Porsha ~~Stewart~~ Williams shops for the first time without the help of Kordell’s credit card and last but not least, Kenya ~~Whore~~ Moore is no longer a beauty queen so she decides to be queen of the bus trip!

Bravo got their money’s worth this week as Kenya ~~Whore~~ Moore rubs everyone the wrong way during another classic bus fight as Nene Leake’s girls’ getaway begins.

The more things change… the more they stay the same!

Nene Leakes of The Real Housewives of Atlanta has been rising above all drama on the popular reality show, but that doesn’t mean she’s not above stirring the pot this season.

Leakes brought her friends Chuck & Mynique Smith onto the show week and immediately got the Smith’s caught up in a bit of RHOA he say/she say about Chuck’s dating history with at least two members of the cast, Phaedra Parks and Kandi Burruss.

Leakes was quick to point out that she, Phaedra and Smith all went to the same high school in Athens (but she didn’t know Phaedra growing up, remember?), and that she’d ‘HEARD’ that Parks was a ‘head doctor’ in high school.

While I’ve heard she apologized to Phaedra about the statement, the implications are hard to ignore.? Whatever the case, Nene felt the need to clarify her statement and while it’s clear, she’s caught in a lie, I guess I’ll give Nene an “A” for effort for standing in her sh*t.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta aired the explosive 6th episode of it’s 6th season last night (December 8, 2013).

After last week’s blow up, Phaedra Parks returns home to an apologetic Apollo.? Parks was still upset with her hubby for refusing to admit his part in inappropriately texting Kenya ~~Whore~~ Moore but his sincerely apology seemed to quell the drama in their household.

Meanwhile, Kenya’s Aunt Sisqo reveals a bit about Moore’s previous choices in men.? Traditionally, Kenya has chosen men who were “not available to her” [READ: “MARRIED”] and Aunt Sisqo feels that if she wants a child, she should just go for that goal and not try so hard for a man.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta aired the 5th episode of it’s explosive 6th season last night (December, 1, 2013).

First things first… Kandi Burruss must have paid a mint for acting lessons for Mama Joyce because she is BRINGING it this season!

There’s lots of yelling, screaming and accusations hurled at Kandi’s fiance’, Todd Tucker and he’s not having it.

Phaedra Parks travels to Alabama to complete her mortuary studies while her husband Apollo Nida turns to Peter Thomas for a bit of marital advice.

Cynthia Bailey learns that her daughter Noelle has a boyfriend named Arthur, and after having a heart to heart with Nene Leakes, Cynthia promptly makes moves to keep an eye on her daughter’s young lovelife.

Meanwhile, Porsha Stewart is adjusting to the single life and has crowned herself ‘Emperor’ of Atlanta, while her mom is still treating her like a princess.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta aired it’s 4th episode last night (November 24, 2013) and we’re bombarded with more of Porsha Stewart‘s ‘poor me’ syndrome.

Atlanta’s youngest ‘housewife’ is still reeling from the breakup of her marriage from Kordell Stewart and she’s still confusing the masses with her tales of how horrible her ‘picture perfect’ marriage actually was.

Here’s the thing, one minute Porsha is throwing tons of ‘gay’ shade and the next she’s crying and holding on to her wedding ring. I’m confused.

Kordell wanted a certain type of marriage and she wanted a ‘career’.
