After a five year hiatus and speculation that they had broken up, at least three of the four members of the R&B group 112 have reunited to record a follow up to their 2005 release Pleasure & Pain, which went gold in the U.S.
Group member Quiness “Q” Parker broke the news earlier this week via his Twitter page:
Its good to see that they’ve worked out their differences. If you recall, Michael Keith formerly accused two of his fellow bandmates,? Q Parker and Daron Jones, of taking unfair shares of royalty checks. Keith revealed in a 2008 interview:
I’m not sure what the status is of the other three members, but myself, I am no longer in 112. I had to leave because I found out that a certain member of the group took my publishing check.
It was made clear that it was intended for myself and another member, Slim [Marvin Scandrick].
At that time, Mike was also asked about a 112 reunion where he stated, “I’m going to be honest with you and say I’ve grown and lived long enough to never say never, so if that was to happen in the future I will welcome it under the right circumstances.”
I guess the time is now…
