It didn’t take long for Kenya Moore and Porsha Williams Stewart, the two new additions to The Real Housewives of Atlanta, to get acclimated to the reality show cameras.

Stewart has only been taping for about a month or so but Moore can almost be considered a “vet” and the 5th season hasn’t even started yet!

Moore & Stewart attended the 2012 Runway Red Safari Wonderland Kid’s Fashion show this past weekend along with fellow cast mates Phaedra Parks, Nene Leakes, and Cynthia Bailey.

The event was full of celebrity kids but it was the newest addition to the housewives franchise that had everyone’s full attention!

Lil Scrappy & Erica Dixon Make 1st Appearance As Engaged Couple! [PHOTOS]

Lil Scrappy and his wife to be Erica Dixon?of Love & Hip Hop Atlanta were the picture perfect family last weekend as they attended the 2012 Runway Red fashion show at Zoo Atlanta (August 11, 2012).

The pair was spotted holding hands and lovingly caressing each other as the posted for photos on and off the red carpet during the event.

As I told you several weeks ago, Scrappy asked for Erica’s hand in marriage during the taping of the Love & Hip Hop Atlanta reunion show in NYC and of course she said “yes”…

Things are apparently going well for the couple and they also recently posed for a huge photospread for an article where they will “officially” reveal their engagement.

Looks like all is good in the hood this week for the couple, who’s daughter Emani also walked the runway for the kiddie fashion show.

PSA: MiMi Faust of Love & Hip Hop Atlanta Wants To “Save Our Daughters”… [VIDEO]

MiMi Faust?aka Stevie J‘s side chick on Love & Hip-Hop Atlanta recently filmed a Public Service Announcement for “Saving Our Daughters,” a non profit organization geared towards empowering teen girls and young adults.

Saving Our Daughters (SOD) initiatives focus on reaching thousands of teen girls and youth across the country with our celebrity, corporate, and community partners making it possible to spark positive activism.

Our words and actions model empowers teens to forward the mission as well as further ignite their inner purpose individually or by leading a group at their home, school, or community.

While I’m sure MiMi means well, I’m NOT so sure that she doesn’t need “saving” herself.

Chad “Ocho”Cinco” Johnson Said He Was Going To Get Arrested… And He Did! [PHOTOS + VIDEO]

Chad “OchoCinco” Johnson was NOT a happy camper when he was released from jail yesterday after his arrest for allegedly “head butting” Evelyn Lozada this past weekend.

Just hours after his release from jail on $2,500 bond, Johnson was unceremoniously cut from his position on the Miami Dolphins, and first year head coach Joe Philbin says it wasn’t this one incident that caused their decision.

“With any type of these decisions, it was not an easy one,” Philbin said.

“It was not reactive nor was it based on one single incident.”

Johnson was charged with simple domestic battery, a misdemeanor.? The Dolphins have cleaned out Chad’s locker while his new wife may be preparing to clean out his pockets after she reportedly received stitches for lacerations received in the incident.

NEWSFLASH! Don’t Ask Spike Lee About Tyler Perry…

Producer Spike Lee returned to his hometown of Atlanta last week to promote his latest film, ?Red Hook Summer,? which opens in Atlanta on Aug. 24.

Lee appeared on several Atlanta news shows and also hit up Art Terrell’s show on Atlanta radio Kiss104.1, where he took a few listener’s calls, but halfway through the question/answer session, Spike Lee had to put his foot down about the Tyler Perry questions.

As you know, Lee has publicly criticized Perry’s work in the past and Dr. Cornel West even put his 2 cents in their disputed once by comparing the two. Perry responded to all the criticism by telling them all to go straight to hell (and I’m not making that up… he really said that).

But for the record… Spike still doesn’t see it for Mr. Perry and recently refused to answer any questions about the fellow “ATLien”.

I know y’all have been chomping at the bit for some Real Housewives of Atlanta news and boy have I got some for you guys!

As you know, I was the first to announce that Kenya Moore would be joining RHOA and I also told you that producers of the show were seeking one more addition to the show.

There were several ladies up for the part: Toya Wright?(negotiations failed), Nicole Porche?(producers decided that her being an actress wasn’t a good look), Keisha Knight Pulliam?(she denied it but taped a few scenes)?and a few others.

Several Atlanta “wives” were approached but none seemed to have that “it” factor the producers were seeking. That is… until producers met Porsha Williams Stewart.
