A private funeral is being planned for Def Jam Record’s Executive Vice-President,?Shakir Stewart, who shot himself with a handgun at his Marietta home on Saturday.?
According to the?Atlanta Journal-Constitution, police have declined to release additional details regarding Stewart?s death. Funeral arrangements are still pending, said a spokesman at Murray Bros. Cascade Chapel in Atlanta. According to the Cobb medical examiner?s office, the autopsy report will take up to 12 weeks. ?(Source)

50 cent kicked Ciara to the curb a little before her birthday. thats why shes been soundin’ a little sad in her interviews whenever they asked about 50 Cent. in case youre wondering those cars Ciara have (the Phantom/Lamborghini) she still have those. thats because theyre RENTED!!! Ciara wants everybody to keep talkin’ about her so she runs with the rumors people give and add more fire to the fuel.
Since 50 cent and Ciara is over. 50 cent been hugged up on Lola Luv, his new wifey. there was a concert here in the A a few weeks ago and a few celebrities came out to show support at the Janet Jackson Rock Witchu Tour..including.. Bow Wow and Ciara, yeah you heard it right. both of them was in the VIP section. not only did they meet up they also talked and even hugged when they greeted each other.

Shakir Stewart, the 34-year-old executive vice president of Def Jam Recordings, was found about 4 p.m. Saturday in the bathroom of his house on Lindsey Drive in Marietta, said police spokeswoman Cassie Reece. Reese said Stewart shot himself with a handgun but wouldn?t say who discovered him. Stewart was prounounced dead at Kennestone Hospital.?
On Sunday (November 2), his fianc?e, Michelle Rivers, released a joint statement with the rest of his family.
“We would like to thank Shakir’s friends for the tremendous outpouring of love and support we have received during this difficult time,” the statement reads. “It has helped us to cope with our overwhelming grief and sadness. It is difficult to express or explain in words what led to the tragic occurrence on Saturday. Over the past several weeks, Shakir’s behavior was inconsistent with the man we all know and love. As much as we all tried to help him, Shakir was in deep pain and largely suffering in silence. Please remember Shakir for who he was … a wonderful father, partner, son and friend.” (Source)
Last night, Blog Talk Radio hosted a special online show to honor Shakir’s memory. Former college roommates, hometown buddies, and industry friends called into the show to reminisce about their friend and to share memories of “Shake.”

El DeBarge (born Eldra Patrick DeBarge), former lead singer of the family singing group DeBarge who had mild success as a solo act, was sentenced Wednesday (October 28th)?to serve 2 years on a cocaine possession charge. ?The Los Angeles Judge had little sympathy for the 47 year old former star, who?was still on probation for a 2001 cocaine bust, not to mention a series of warrants over the past year for domestic violence, vandalism and drugs, and gave his the stiffest penalty possible.
According to the district attorney’s office, DeBarge also has a second case pending, for violating his probation in 2006 with another drug bust. A hearing in that matter is set for November 10th.?DeBarge was picked up by authorities over the weekend on outstanding warrants.
